I envy all of the Xbox players...
As a playstation user, I already played the beta and alpha. I'll tell you, destiny is like heroin. If you've played it, you can't not want to play it. Games like watch dogs have no meaning anymore. I tried to play CoD or Battlefield, but playing them to try to curb the destiny withdrawals is like huffing glue when you need some sweet sweet crack.
So don't be jealous of us, xbox players. We should envy you. You Don't know what yesterday and today feels like. Video games have lost meaning. I urge you to enjoy today. As it's most likely your last day of being sober from destiny before you too with be addicted as we are.
Edit: Now that all of you xbox players have played as well, I'm sure you understand completely what I meant.

What is this Killzone of which others are speaking? Oh I have it and AC:Black Flag and Tomb Raider and some other games. They all just sit there and mock me. Chanting something about being good enough before, we still can shimmy your tree Khorick. I fire up the Destiny Beta to shut them up. Yes I am hearing them speak to me, they promise me a good time, but they all leave me so empty and cold. Oh Destiny, where art thou?

I most definitely agree. I had to stop playing earlier than most, as I had to leave for a week long work trip about 20 minutes before the first iron banner started. I am now in day 4 of withdrawals and let me tell you, it is not a pretty sight. I have the shakes, and I keep finding myself miming the controller actions til my thumbs begin to hurt. The only thing that keeps me going is watching playthroughs of devils lair and crucible, but now I am running out of mobile data to do so. My only consolation is that I will be back for the 26th. Xbox players, believe me when I say, that Destiny is both a blessing AND a curse. You will never be the same again.

8 RepliesTried to play Battlefield last evening, turned it on, tried for 5 minutes, turned off the console. Tried again after 5 minutes only to find myself browsing the servers the whole time, turned it off again and spent the rest of evening on Destiny forums.

3 RepliesI have roughly 17 different games that I could play at any one time. For the last 5 years or so, I've been searching for a game that could grab my attention like games did when I was younger. It's been frustrating. Preorder a game, hoping for the best, load it up, play it for a week or two then maybe an hour or two a month after that. For once, I'm calm. I'm no longer stressing over what game to play or if they're even worth it. I've played Destiny. While it doesn't do any one big thing new. It does a lot of little things exceedingly well. This adds up into one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long time. Considering this is only a beta, that's definitely saying something. The OP has it correct, to a degree. Playing Destiny really will change how you play games for some time to come. Be careful. Be ready.

2 RepliesI actually use heroin on a daily basis, and trust me the withdrawls from it are much worse than a video game.. Although I havent played a game since BLands2 and before that Diablo2, I dont play many games, but Destiny is amazing, and the world that Bungie has created and will continue to craft for us is so beautiful..I'm very excited to see where the story goes and how we will "change" the world and actually "fight back the darkness".
