I know the knights are referenced many times and they are the ones in the basement of RAS-2 on the surface, the ruined building housing the second amplifier in the story mission where we learn of Rasputin's existence. The area people keep finding their way into is the Seraphim Vault if I am not mistaken. This area is content that we were informed would be coming soon. In reality, it was content we probably should already have had at game release, but I won't beat that old dead horse anymore.

3 RepliesEdited by Krimm: 7/21/2014 10:42:28 PMI think you inadvertently found the bunker where the AI Rasputin is housed. Why this conclusion, you ask? Two reasons: First - It's not a huge stretch of the imagination that "RAS" might be referring to Rasputin to begin with. Second - according to a Ukrainian colleague of mine, the names "Putin" and "Rasputin" are sometimes used in a word-play joke, which (very) loosely translates to: 1-putin 2-putin! Which leads me to believe "RAS-2" may be a nod to this word-play joke. Granted, Occam's razor suggests that the first reason is the most likely, however, given the importance of Old Russia so far, I wouldn't put it past Bungie to put in some subtle cultural references.

I found this location just now, too. Of course, it looks like I'm extremely late. Bunker RAS-2 is located in that one building in Old Russia's Forgotten Shore; it's that one dilapidated building that has Rasputin's voice speaking through a speaker. In that building are stairs that go down a few floors......once you enter, you'll encounter a Hallowed Knight and one "Celebrant of Oryx". The Celebrant is practically a bullet-sponge.....personally I was let down when nothing great was left after I defeated him. Otherwise, the bunker itself has some interesting, high-tech stuff, though sadly none of it is interactive. There are diamond-shaped pods or whatever that are marked in Cryllic, words I can't translate, plus I can't type them out with my keyboard. There's a fancy kiosk beside the one in front of you, as well as another one on a wall beside the pod, and even some boxes that have that yellow-ish wrapping underneath (kind of like the stuff you'd see on the Moon). Oh wow.....just now I checked the two pictures in the OP and saw that this location could go deeper. Well, I wouldn't know since I never got to play the Beta. How much do you want to bet this stuff might be expanded in the upcoming DLC? But only time will tell on that one....

So I tried to enter the strike mission at Devil's Lair and I and two others spawned here. Any explanation? Should we be doing something? I found the dead ghost but is there anything else to do here?

9 RepliesI find this name very interesting. "Seraphim" refers to high angels, sometimes the caretakers of God's chair or simply major angels in the angelic pantheon. I wonder what might be hidden in there, maybe preserved alien artifacts of the Traveler or of other life forms that came before the Collapse. Yet I do think it's likely that Rasputin is also hidden in that bunker.
