Why is it that everyone acts as though the gear and weapons will be given out at start? There is no evidence to support this claim. I believe this won't just be a handout, it means that PS4 players will have this stuff available to them in the game the same way other gear is. On the PS4 you can find/buy (depending) the exclusive gear the same way you would everything else, the difference being Xbox players won't have this opportunity until the timing on the timed exclusive ends.

I'm just a scumbag Xbox player here, but it would definitely make more sense for them to simply be [i]available[/i] exclusively, not handed out in the beginning like Borderlands. Although it is certainly possible that it could be exclusive starting gear. Deej, where are you when we need you?

He's sitting at his desk, three screens in front of him, answering all the other hundreds of questions he's been asked. Anyway, it does make more sense for it to be available, and not just given out. Even if you do get it at the beginning of the game, I don't know what level the armor is, but the weapons are exotic, and would be unavailable for use for quite some time.

Although I remember reading a few posts from Playstation saying they'd be available at launch, I still agree with you. I think it'd be weird to just give players really cool looking gear and weapons that will be used for literally no longer than 30 mins in total. [spoiler]Borderlands 2 had those golden guns that were given as preorder bonuses. They lasted about 5 minutes. I hope to god BUNGIE doesn't make that mistake. [/spoiler]

I feel like what they meant by "available at launch" is that they are able to be found. The opportunity to find them will be available right from the start, not the gear itself. That's just what I'm hoping, and what makes sense to me.

lets not forget in his interview with angry joe, Deej said that the exclusives that PS owners are getting, will be made available to "everyone" at some point in time. Xbox 360 person here, do i care they get it. not one bit. more power to them they deserve it!
