  • It was way back in Halo 1 playing couch Co-op with my brother. On the mission "Halo" when you get to the room where your journey through the foreign subterranean system is halted by a void, we explored the right of the room, to be ambushed and my brother be brutally in front of me, i avenged his death and we both watched in aww as i activated the control pad to watch as the very light around me was transformed into a sustainable bridge across the chasm... It dwells in my dreams even now, forevermore tantalizing my nights.

  • To cure the pervasive boredom at my cousin's abode, my cousin booted up his copy of Halo 3. Next, he proceeded to load a one-on-one Deathmatch on Guardian with the typical weapon loadout. Since I never owned a game within the Halo franchise, he proceeded to mercilessly pound me to oblivion. Halfway through the match, we continuously tried to outflank each other to reach the optimal positions for a kill. Near the end of our bloody bout, our annihilation attempts deteriorated into kamikaze runs at each other's throats. With our Gravity Hammers slashing through the air, we cried "Hammertime!"

  • My favourite moment was in halo 2 when i played a head to head match. I was on ascension and i was playing a guy named mr rogers. I was winning against him and i kept super bouncing on top of the small tower. He was screaming so bad and talking about how he wanted to kill me lmao. He just kept screaming and throwing nades up trying to kill me. The rockets were also flying past me. I was just hiding and messing with this guy. I love proximity voice. lol

XBOX with its stupidly big original controller and this weird game called HALO. We put it in and start the game on normal and I was hooked immediately. Between the scenery and the spaceships, and Cortana and the Chief. It wasn't just the imagination, it was the depth of the story. It was following Chief on his escapade and being suckered by 343 Guilty Spark. And fighting your way through the Flood and Covenant to blow up the HALO ring, and then drifting.... and wondering what could possibly be next. Thank You for the adventure that was, is, and will be to come. Simon

  • A long time ago a mate and I had gone on holiday, bad luck it was raining so no beach or anything like that. But me being the good guy I am had brought my Xbox and Halo with me. We jammed through the campaign on heroic (we sucked) and as we boosted recklessly through the level in a Warthog (I’m horrible at driving). Next thing we knew I hit a rock, somehow managing to pull off a back flip over the wraith in front of us. Terribly tired at the time its still one of the most hilarious memories I have.

  • “You guys will love this map,” I exclaimed with joy. They were unsure of the game, but I was very excited to play. Not often do I round up a group big enough to play on custom maps. The forge world fit the massive ramp perfectly. The idea of the game was simple: drive down as fast as you can without being killed by the gravity hammer wielding infected. The of the game pace quickly escalated once Warthogs were sent smashing against the walls in every direction. My ears filled with the laughter of friends with each insane splatter.

  • My friends and I were on Halo 3 in Sandtrap forge mode. We had deleted everything and then placed a bunch of man cannons and grav lifts facing each other in the middle of the map and were driving vehicles into them. This mayhem lasted for about 3 hours when suddenly, my tank started spinning wildly in the air, landed, and proceeded to spin crazy fast. I flew out of the edge of the map, so fast that the Guardians had trouble keeping up with me! My friends and I laughed for five minutes straight. P.S. On one glorious night after a hot summer day, my two friends and I decided to stay the night at my house with only one plan; Halo local multiplayer. After a few matches we thought we would mix it up. We set the Gravity and speed to 200%, shield regeneration to 0% with 50% vampirism, with only the magnum and plasma pistol with no guns on the map. We played the 100 kill to win game, simply named pistol, on the map Last Resort. Blasting music through the TV and matching the volume with our voices, we sang the night away. Laughing with our triumphs and growling at defeat, the battlefield was riddled with raw emotion. The game ended at day break and the winner arose with a new and everlasting sense of glory. We will forever remember this night, so thank you bungie. Happy bungie day! edit: checked the game save file and changed some of the settings.

  • On a slow day in Halo 3 a few friends were messing around in forge. When I joined them, one of them was making a large box. He told me he was trying to fill it with as many explosives as possible, so I decided to help out. Once it was full of all the fusion coils, propane tanks, landmines, and plasma tanks the map allowed, he jumped in and threw down a grenade. The game had severe lag from the explosion which resulted in him getting kicked from the game for ten minutes. It was hilarious.

  • My favorite moment was the day I convinced a good friend of mine to get Xbox Live so we could play Halo 2 together after school. We played all night trying to get our ranks as high as possible but couldn't make it past level 12 in team slayer sadly (haha). That night started our bromance for Bungie that is still going strong!!!

  • one of the best moments had to have been the steaktacular bungie day. Me and all of my friends played all day trying to find bungie members to beat. We finally got into a game and despite the fact that we lost it made the day of searching worth it.

  • I guess my best moment in any Bungie game will be the day Reach came out. I had reserved a copy of the limited edition 360 specifically for the game in my home town and had to travel back from where I was studying in University to fetch the console and and upon my return my friend (who never even had an Xbox) signed up for an Xbox Live account and we played through the campaign (only in Heroic...) and then played the best multiplayer game type I've ever played in Halo...Invasion, easily my favourite of all time!

We spawned by the snow-lodged pelican once again, and began our trek towards the mouth of the cave that had spelled our tedious, laggy doom so many times before. There was no shortage of the unnatural in this cold purgatory. An alien shoeshiner, an omnipresent baritone, and a naked Jones accompanied us in our Annual quest. We took the tower – sans any grenade jump – and defeated Mr. Spark. Our fourth man, FreedomApple99 (something very similar to this...), radio'd in: "But.. Mooooom.. I.. I have to finish thiiiiis." We pressed on in ghosts despite our troubled future. "90% Chief, firing sequence initiated." At this time, FreedomApple99's voice cracked and crackled through to us: "Guys … I have to.. I have to go get a haircut byeeeeeee!!!!!11111." We returned to the menu screen from whence we came, But we felt no pain, For we knew it was the start of a new game, Where we would have fun with our friends once again.

  • Back when 2003 when my dad got back from Korea. His buddy there didn't want his Xbox any more so my dad got it with only one game Halo CE . He beat the game at that time and when he got back home from work at the us he would have a new game, but anyways my two brothers and I ( I was 5 my brothers where 6 and 8 ) and my dad would only play Halo.( dad would play the games he bought) we would play a lot then our friends and neighbors heared that's when the memories started to come in. Still when I talk to these people we have our inside jokes that no one will or can understand.

  • Me and a group of friends going for the Halo 3: ODST Vidmaster Challenge: Déjà Vu . For five plus hours we battled the convent forces. Sooooo many deaths and restarts but I don't think I have laughed harder or had as much fun playing a game. I remember this one checkpoint under the arches where the extra hogs were the way it saved was just as a fuel rod was about to hit one of the mongooses we would get so far then respawn and sometimes we would forgot about the immanent demise the that was approaching in a green blur the screams of anger and the howls pf laughter stick with me to this day. In the end we won the day!! Thank you Bungie

  • I thought about this all day. So many incredible moments with Halo 3 it was hard to decide. But I thought of it. My favorite moment was with my friend Taylor. I was on Xbox on the evening of my birthday, and Shishka's game was open, so I joined. I noticed Ske7ch was in it as well. The idea of being with my two Bungie idols was amazing, but what made the moment one to remember was the game film of us being on Bungie Favorites the following week. A unforgettable moment.

  • Playing halo reach with my two friends, I had the banshee, the other two in a warthog. They were shooting at the bad guys (blue team) and I was swooping in for the kills then someone shot me down. Then all three of us were on a hunt to avenge me, we finally got him with 30 seconds remaining. And then we were like "ugh finally!" And played happily ever after.

  • of Friends and Foes “The controller buzzed as my body fell to the ground. I could hear the thuds of metal hitting metal and take in the taste of it as my enemy’s metal crotch came down on my head, repeatedly. I couldn’t do more than smile, he wasn’t my enemy, he was my friend. Yet I knew nothing about him, never met him before, at all. Then it was my time to rise, I took a shot and watched his body fall to the ground. I approached and allowed my metal crotch down. All are we friends, foes in joy.”

  • Hemorrhage: 3 kills to win and an enemy wraith approaching. The odds of us taking down the wraith while not being shot to smithereens were slim if not impossible. Yet when the time came, and my friends and I had our shit together, we managed (barely) to pull it off. With a plasma pistol in one hand and a grenade equipped, while my buddies were covering my back, I was able to hope on and blow the wraith to kingdom come. The emotions of excitement, courage, and glee were all thanks to a simple disc, made by a legend company.

It was late in 2006 when my friends and I were grinding our way up the Team Slayer playlist in Halo 2. We had recently discovered how communicating with was actually important and it gave us a huge advantage over most teams we played. In a game on Lockout, we were trouncing the other team. Thanks to proximity voice chat, we heard someone on the other team yell "Ma, I'm done with the 360. I need a Wii." We still laugh about this almost seven years later. Honestly, we all see it is a badge of honor!

Now how to pick, and write, about my favorite story playing Halo with my friends, in less than 100 words none the less. Well Its simple… I have to haha My truly favorite time, was when I was just a young lad, that was invited to my brothers older friends LAN parties, there was usually 16 of us and it was a great time for a young kid who loved gaming and still does.. But the only thing was, there could only be one victor in most games…….. And I wasn’t invited back to often ;)

  • When I was really young, there was this unpopular kid that my mother thought I liked. She always made me go over to his house when she worked. One time, I begrudgingly went over to this guy’s house and I noticed he was playing a game in front of his T.V, the game he was playing was Halo: Combat Evolved. After that, I always wanted to go to his house only to play Halo. Sadly our "friendship" ended when my parents bought me my first Xbox that came with Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, weird coincidence, don't you think?

  • Playing Halo 3 with my older brother. It was Vahalla Heavy CTF. As was in our tradition in CTF with vehicles, my brother and I would take the mongoose with him as the driver and be like ghosts to capture the enemy's flag. Since it was "heavy" variant map I grabbed the rocket launcher to make our little vehicle a "mini tank"; while my brother thought it was unnecessary since it took time to get. Upon driving on the river side of the map we approached the base and saw a group of blues guarding the flag. I fired both rockets at the base and my brother stated I had missed but instead some of the blues jumped up into the rockets securing me a triple kill and our team the flag. We then took the flag and rinsed and repeated. Mongoose driving to capture the flag and returning ending the game in about 6 min.
