Halo 3, map Guardian. 2 friends and I sitting on the couch having a local game. It's 2 Vs. 1. I have a flamethrower. Friend A runs at me. Gets set on fire. Body goes up a gravity lift. Flaming body of friend A drops in front of friend B. Friend B screams like a little girl and drops the controller. Laughing ensues.

My friend and I were playing invasion slayer on Hemorrhage as spartans. At the beginning of the game, the four other members of our team quit. My friend and I got a killing frenzy each to take the game to the second teir and then, as the elites captured the objectives, we stole their Banshees. We finished the game with 100 kills between us, the enemy team on 4.

September 14, 2010, launch day of Halo: Reach Seven hyperactive friends, all discussing when to meet. Into matchmaking we head off Green as newly growing moss. Ending game of CTF, sudden death slowly creeps. Warthog with the winning flag, sprinting down the grassy sweep. A scorpion gets loaded up, main objective: to impede. Spartan driver takes the shot, danger close as it could be. Hope looks lost as the warthog flies towards the open sea. Carrier sees his chance, starts ejecting out his seat, Landing on the capture pad, game over. Victory.

Not quite a favorite moment, but my favorite gaming experiences come from the countless LAN parties my friends and I had in SoCal during the early 2000s into the Halo 2 era before everyone moved onto Xbox Live. Hauling Xboxes and huge CRT television sets to each other's houses was well worth it for the sixteen-player Halo matches. Nothing could ever beat CTF on Blood Gulch or Sidewinder with two 8-player teams all crammed into the same room shouting smack talk at each other over open pizza boxes. All those moments are lost in time now, like tears in rain.

The very first time my friend and I played halo, it was about 9:00pm, we were young and had no idea what the game was about, As we ran through the dark corridors on the very first mission(not knowing how to use the flash light button....) one of the grunts jumped out of nowhere making me throw my controller, hitting my friend in the head, I ended up hiding under my blanket for the next 5 minutes while he went hunting for an icepack. I will always remember that moment, and im glad i had the balls to continue playing that outstanding game you guys created.

We played the campaign as tactical and as smart as one could play. We defeated the flood, breached the enemy lines far beyond the cannon fodders, into the deep. A seemingly endless line of grunts, jackals and brutes, we could only attempt... But our reward was the greatest honour in the Halo nation. We were rockin' recon.

My favorite Bungie moment came shortly after I had joined the Ancient Warriors, right here on b.net. Playing Halo with people who have a positive attitude really change the game. It becomes an experience. Thank you for that :)

Every Bungie game, every game type, every difficulty any weapon any day. This is why I've fallen in love with video games. I'm low on ammo, shields are down, surrounded, no support in sight. I'm exterminated instantly after trying to run. In the end, after getting taken out more times than I can count and getting trolled numerously, I come out on top and concurring.

So began another bleak day on the xbox. I heard the infamous roar of the warthog from the slumber, it was my time. It began like every other war, first an issue on location. VETO'd. Then I saw it, I saw Sandtrap. We slowing came in, one by one. I took control of the wild beast with my best friend in the gunner. I didn't even realize he was who he was until after the great battle. I lost many a good friend that day, sprawled throughout the battlefield. KDA everywhere. No one was the same after that day.

My favorite moment was when I was playing through ODST with my friends. No breaks, just a complete 7 hour grind through the whole game beginning to end. We never planned on playing it all in one go but as time went on, we just couldn't stop. Running rampant through a huge city, huddling down for the firefights, and driving down a highway with infinite rockets. The death counts rose high (Covenant and ODST) but the fun never ended. It's still the most fun I've had in any video-game I've played.

Edited by CINIMODICAL: 7/8/2013 6:32:39 AMIt was Halloween night , me and my cousin were playing halo 3 FFA to get to rank 50. My aunt came up to us and asked if we could hand out 2 big bowls of candy to the trick or treaters. We got so caught up we forgot to hand out candy. Knowing she would be furious if she saw all the candy by the door, we dumped 2 big bowls into the bag of a kid that came really late. That made our day and his!

Edited by Rosh117: 7/8/2013 6:21:46 AMIt was a cold rainy night. cooped up inside, my friend and I decide let's play Halo. As thunder shook the house we hunkered down in front of the TV, controllers in hand ready for war. As we mounted their Oddball's on our mantle, and forged our names in blood on the leaderboards, we became an unstoppable force. After 7 hours of constant gaming, we had bonded in away I had never with anyone before. It's been 5 years since that night, my friend and I will let Destiny prepare it's body for us, because we're going to be rough.

There we were on the eve of a great battle. The core lay 50 yards north we were pinned. One of our CO's yelled “Charge!” We followed orders and through the hand of god we grabbed that core. We all ran screaming like injuns with hot lead running down our pants. We started our climb towards Victory Hill. At the peak our CO roared "Iwo jima! Iwo Jima!" but seconds later a tank shell exploded two feet from us and the game ended in failure. Sitting in that game lobby changed us, morphed us into unbreakable brothers. (Halo Reach)

Edited by BigJuicyBerger: 7/8/2013 5:57:41 AMThis took place during that ridiculous pursuit of the Halo 3 Recon set. My two buddies and I decided to try the Vidmaster Challenge: Endure on ODST. We splitscreened and out of utility, agreed to let a young kid we found online be our fourth man. Deep into this marathon of Covenant-killing, the kid’s parents told him to turn off the game. The rest of us convinced him to lock himself in his room and keep playing, NO MATTER WHAT. We could hear him and his folks verbally go at it through his locked door; parental punishment was threatened, but he held the line with us… until we ending up getting destroyed by the very last group of enemies needed to pass the set. Four hours gone. Probably ruined the kid’s life. No achievement to show for it, but the buddies and I still look back at that moment and laugh.

My days of Halo began when I was in 2nd grade. I would go up to my neighbors house with my best friend everyday after school to play Halo Combat Evolved. My best friend and I would play with our neighbor everyday after school. Eventually Halo 2 came out and I got my own xbox so our experience with my best friend moved online. Everyday after school and all day in the summer we would be playing Lockout together on Halo 2. We would always find or makes groups and play team slayer with Battle Rifles.
-
Growing up I only played sports games. My neighbor had the luxury of an Xbox. One day I went to his house and we loaded up a game. Halo. He was brief on the controls as the match began. My friend destroyed me in every way possible but every second was pure joy. From getting sniped to even ran over. Priceless. I was opened to a new world and new genre of video games thanks to Bungie and my ginger friend. Thank you Cole's mom for getting your son a Xbox with Halo.

Halo 2, the day of the update that merged the bullet hoses and magnum. I was playing snipers on collasus. We were losing and it was 4 of them against 2 of us. We were down by like 10(don't remember exact, it was 8yrs ago) and then the last guy on my team quit. I came back two win the game. Hands down the best game I have ever played in my life. I felt like Thor was guiding me, smithing the other team via my controller.

Back when Halo 2 came out, a couple of my best friends and I would always play split-screen Ninjanaut. There isn’t a single favorite moment I can capture, because we would always have so much fun and share so much laughter. Time has passed, and though we live in different places and have busy lives, we can always reminisce about the breath-taking, excruciating laughter we would suffer from our times playing Ninjanaut.

Halo 2 was one of the first games I got on Xbox, and my older brother and I were addicted. However, our long nights playing took a toll on our hand-me-down boob tube, and it began to stop working. After troubleshooting we found the ancient television would “black-out” when it got hot. We decided that the best thing to do was to open our window to let the cold air and snow in (It was winter), and put ice cubes directly on top of the television. We wrapped ourselves in blankets, and continued this till the TV died for the sake of halo.

Edited by st_ad3pt: 7/8/2013 5:24:17 AMI remember a few years ago, when I got Halo 3, one of my favorite games of all time, that I would invite my friends over to my place to play some classic 4 player split-screen but my friends use to whoop my ass because I sucked at multiplayer, but with a little bit of time, practice, and love for Halo i became a much better player. All of that paid off when it was the reverse with me owning them badly. That felt so good!!!! :D All I want to say is: Thank you bungie so much for creating one of the best gaming experiences for me!! :D

Kids - Gather round and listen to a story about heroism, sacrifice and the best damn game of capture the flag I ever played. It began one evening playing Halo 3 with a couple of buddies. We mixed things up from our usual slayer matches and ended up playing capture the flag on Orbital. The game began and everybody hurried off to make a grab for their favorite tool of destruction. It was in these first few moments that disaster struck, the fourth player on our team (a complete stranger) bailed on us, leaving us shorthanded. Despair settled over me. What were we to do? How could we keep from getting slaughtered? Kids - I let that feeling of despair dominate me for only a couple of moments before I decided that no matter the outcome I would do my best to keep the other team from scoring. The other team was soon upon us guns ablazing, grenades ricocheting off the walls and players from both teams started dying. Now I wish I could say that we kept the other team from grabbing the flag but that would be a lie. I can say that we did keep them from scoring. The other team came and every time they died. There were tense moments when I thought the other team was going to get away, but we always managed to stop them and return our flag. After an eternity of denying the other team the announcer finally called an end to the game. The final score was a tie, 0 - 0. While I know this is technically not a Win. We did walk away with our heads held high. We had faced numerically superior forces and kept them from achieving their goal. That kids - is a Win in my book any day and is the best damn game of capture the flag I have ever played.

Me and the bros were avid fans of Infection on Halo 3. We had a LAN network as well as a couple of people online playing a round on Sandtrap. Everyone had superspeed and gravity was reduced. After a few hours, the crew began to decline into madness and thusforth some of the greatest zombie sounds known to man were born. Nothing like being chased by your zombies buddies acting like a bunch of toddlers without girlfriends. Oh the memories.

A group of friends and I were taking on the challenge of Halo 3's Ark LASO, it was a tough battle and we were getting used to the skulls. It didn't take us that long and we thought it was because we were too good. At the end of the game we then realized that it was on easy!

Edited by Namdor_07: 7/8/2013 3:27:24 AMThere are too many moments for me to pick a singular moment. what I will choose is what feels like a singular moment. Each week myself and 7 friends would get together at my friend Christian's house. He was a little bit older than us and owned his own house which had a basement that could house 8 people. So every Wed night we would head home after school, unhook all the cords from our 32inch Tube TVs and lugged them into the passenger or back seat of our cars hoping they wouldn't break in transit (you young kids have no clue how much this sucked with your fancy portable flat screens and xbox live). We would order Pizza, LAN our Xboxs together (again you young kids have no clue) screen watch/kill and subsequently lie about it. it was the best days...umm nights of our lives. I will never forget this time with my friends who I still hold close to me to this day. Thank you Bungie and sorry I can't get my favorite moment to less than a hundred words but you simply mean too much to me.
