  • Halo 4, Exile. A bunch of us were playing Slayer on Exile, and blue team was absolutely dominating. In a desperate attempt to turn the tide, four of us rush for the tank. Just outside of its cave, we enter into a firefight. Two of us are killed immediately. In one of those classic "well, this probably won't work" moments, I lob a plasma grenade at the guy on the other team as he jetpacks away. I'm gunned down, but as he hits the top of his flight arc, the grenade sticks to his rifle, and kills him. The next thing I hear is "HAIL MARY". Day made.

    • Well i was at my neighbours house and we played halo 3. He showed my how to use forge and i was blown away. We set a timer to 30 minutes and everybody had time to build a base for himself. It was last resort. I remember it really good. I put containers on the sniper tower on the beach. After 30 minutes when we started to fight, he drove to my base with a warthag gaus. I was like "ha shoot as much as you want! My base is bulletproof!". He changed the seat to the turret and shot on my base. One single shot. Everything fell down. I was so pitted. A moment, i will never forget. Bungie games conect people. I made so much friends with halo and i hope i'll do the same with destiny.

    • Man I have way too many but my fondest memory would have been playing through the campaign of Halo CE with my brother. See I wasn't even a fan of shooters( I was mostly an RPG guy at the time) Till my brother told me about the shooter that he had played at a friends house called Halo. So we went over to local block buster and rented Halo Ce over Christmas.Within five minutes I was hooked, Me and my brother would be glued to the coach playing through the campaign. It was a pretty cool bonding experience between brothers considering are taste of games at the time we completely different.

    • Back when halo 2 first came out me and my friends from school would get together and have halo parties, there was 2 requirements to come to this party. You had to bring an xbox with halo 2, and you had to bring a TV. We had 14 TVs around his house and LAN cables everywhere! For 12 hours we battled each other on halo 2, and had the time of my life. I can honestly say I would rather have one of those party's again then any other type of party.

    • Back in Halo 3 multiplayer, my friend and I hopped into a 4v4 Shotgun-Snipers game, not having the most of experience. Well. We were paired with two okay players, against a 4 person clan/team that dominated the field. Death, thy name is Red Team. One of our teammates disconnected; the other, feeling a bit creative, drove the Warthog off a cliff and THEN disconnected. We were down something close to 41-12 (match being to 50), and we decided to go out in a blaze of glory. What happened next I can only describe as hivemind- we were in perfect synch, picking enemies off each others' backs and generally going above and beyond the call of...our skills, really. The other team was not expecting us, and we got to within 1 point! 49-49, dead heat...and I get splattered by a Warthog. Cue sad trombone. But my friend and I were psyched, we had never been that in synch and mind-meld-y before. A rare moment of everything falling into place, I suppose. (Just 100 words is hard!)

    • My friend and I were playing the first mission on Reach with all skulls on and it was taking a huge amount of time to get through. After the cut scene with the Zealots we fought our way to the large open room where the other two Zealots were. After numerous times of trying to clear out the room and failing we grabbed the forklift and started pushing boxes and large crates toward the room. We managed to create a huge barrier and pushed Jorge in front of our makeshift wall as a defence turret. But in a split second an elite just blew straight through our wall and killed us. Both of us were in tears laughing. And straight after that I said "oh to hell with it" and managed to run by all the grunts and assassinate the elites. We were both speechless and just as we acknowledged what happened a suicide grunt ran in and killed us. One of my most treasured moments of gaming in my life so far due to the look on my friends face after.

    • Mine is short, but sweet. I was playing Crow's Nest with my younger brother. We'd just mopped up the brutes in the barracks. I was on the catwalk, looking for ammo; he was down below somewhere. I saw a dead brute slumped over the railing, so naturally, I punched him in his brutey bottom, knocking him off the edge. The brute landed right in front of my brother, scaring him so much that he yelped and almost jumped into the ceiling. Fun times.

    • It was the twenty fifth of September, nearly six years ago. After hours of drama and legendary battles it came down to one final objective. I was at the wheel while Ben was behind the gun. I was a mad man on wheels, sliding around corners, taking what seemed like impossible risks. They were all around us but we couldn't give up. In a last ditch effort I smashed the accelerator and drove into uncertainty... we made it. A few seconds went by and we felt safe inside the Pillar of Autumn, then everything changed. We weren't safe yet...

    • Setting my alarm for 4AM on 7/7 to wake up and have a shot at winning steak against a team of Bungie employees. It was truly one of the best times I've ever had. Stayed awake a full 24 hours playing Halo, hoping to play Bungie.

    • When we were kids, me and my brother used to wait until our mum went out of the house. When she finally did we invited couple of our mates round, to play 2v2 splitscreen of halo:CE. They say you have the time of your life, when you're kid. They're not half wrong. :) Thanks for the memories!

    • My favorite memory of playing a Bungie game was when I was little and had an original Xbox. My sister gave me two games: Halo and Fable without my mom knowing. My mom found out somehow and asked me for the games and she put them in the paper shredder. My heart was broken.

    • Setting: Bungie Day 2011. Halo Reach. Bungie vs. The World! Me and my friends had 4 Xbox 360's set up in his (rather small) bedroom. As soon as the Bungie Employees hopped on the playlist, we did too. We played for many, many hours, causing insane amounts of carnage. Even though we never got matched with our would be steak-owing-victims, the experience was phenomenal. Everyone was there to have fun in the playlist. Everyone had a good time. We'll be waiting for you guys in Destiny to challenge us again.

    • Memories abound when playing any Bungie game, but i think my favorite memory, comes from when we played Halo Reach with the fellows over at Rooster Teeth. My buddies and i got into a game of free for all on Zealot with the RT guys. I cant remember laughing as hard as i did then, ever before, the comments and insults that went flying across the battlefield were as impactful as the bullets. I ended up winning the match. I loved the fact that we could play a game and have such an awesome atmosphere. Thank you Bungie.

    • CTF. Valhalla. ~35 seconds left, 1 point down, just left their beach base with 3 in hog. 20 seconds mid map. 15 seconds our half. 12 seconds...rock jump...hit the rock jump...!....and bounce off the the left. 10 seconds left OUTSIDE OUR BASE. 5 seconds up the ramp. 4...3...2...1...game over. We lose. We scored as it hit zero, and it didn't count. Laughed and cursed for hours over that one.

    • Halo 3 Custom Games. Running circles around super speed zombies in Warthogs on Sandtrap and laughing into the night doing the same thing over and over again with friends and strangers alike. Made some awesome friends that night.

    • My favorite Moment i had playing with my friends was on reach. we were playing a bunch of infected games and just having a hell of a time trolling each other and messing around. In one game we were playing on a map and they were hiding in the vents with a bunch of other people online and i was infected. And through some circumstance i killed them in one go. it was one of the funniest moments i have had on a bungie game. i still dont let them live it down when i see them :D.

    • The first time I got to play Halo on Xbox LIVE was at my cousin's house. His older brother had just set up the Internet and let us play Halo 2 online. Later that night we had gotten so good online that we won a game of SWAT Carbines on Midship, 50-0 with my cousin and I on a team versus a full enemy team. That was an awesome memory. And an amazing game.

Halo: Reach Spire BTB, my friends and I kind of had our own roles to play, I manage to take the sniper rifle and decided to snipe from the top of the spire and my other friend sniper went close to the waterfall on the other side, the game was a tough game and we where sniping, one of the players of the other team noticed this, he assasinated my friend, took his sniper rifle, sniped me from his position and used the rocket launcher to get a triple kill from my other friends that were flying the falcon and the matched ended losing by a kill.

    • Oh man, where to begin? In 2002, I was 8 years old. My 7 year old brother and I rented an Xbox from our local video store and we only had enough money to get one game with it. Of course that game was Halo: CE. We booted it up and it already had a save file on it, so we started where the last person left off in co-op campaign. The level "Halo" was my first encounter with a Bungie game and we got to one of the spire things to save some people and we were swarmed with covenant. It was the most fun I ever had blasting away at aliens. It made me the gamer I am today. Thank you bungie! (Part 2: "this cave is not a natural formation")

    • At school, we had an activities day one of the awesome activities was to play Halo for the day, me and my geek squad of friends thought this would be a great opportunity. The chosen day arrives, The map? Last resort, free for all four player split screen,Knowing the map, I run for the ghost, I laugh hysterically as I run all my friends over in the ghost, everyone in the room stared at me when I made my evil diabolical laugh, I still felt overenjoyed to destroy them however :)

It’s tough pinning this down, with all the skillful no scopes and such, but it’s when Halo 3 just released. It was a match on Last Resort and I grabbed the sniper to show off my majestic skill. Then, I hear a guy riding in a mongoose and I try to get his attention. He let’s me on, we ride for about 2 seconds and I manage to pull of a no scope from the back of a mongoose. Probably my favorite moment in a video game (and it’s even in my File Share to this day!).

    • Ah yes, it was the Vidmasters in '09--Endure, to be precise. I and my closet ODST's head into battle, knowing our friendship would be torn apart by the pain, agony, and frustration about to occur. Fast forward to the last round. One man is AFK and the rest of us are dead. Two Chieftans enters the arena. On cue, our AFK man comes back and wins us the round. That moment is seared in my mind.

    • I entered Halo 3: ODST with intentions of playing a round of firefight with my friends before bed, but little did we know, things would get intense. We fought with our hearts and everything else we could sacrifice. We lost many men, but it was the final wave and as the last man standing, it was up to me. Deep in the bowels of Alpha Site with my trusty sniper rifle ready, I dealt the final blow, and the glorious sound of validation hailed through my headset in victorious fanfare. We had won. Vidmasters: Completed.

    • Either High School days where we hid Halo PC in the biology computers and spent the whole hour on Blood Gulch, or the 16 player Halo 2 LAN parties with way too much pizza and Mountain Dew.

    • The day: Halo 2 Release (UK). Head over to a friends house to play the game, we're stoked. Get inside; pizza, crisps, the works. Turn on 15" television, Turn on game, watch cutscenes. My god its good. On Cairo Station; (Legendary) Covies breaking down the door, they burst in! We hail fire down upon them from our dual smgs, we stare at their corpses on our 7.5" screens. We have held off the invaders. "This game is awesome" we think. We high five and continue on. *Playthrough 1/17. <3 Bungie. Thanks for a great childhood.
