• Four tube TV's, four XBOX's, sixteen controllers, sixteen guys and more food & beverages than you should consume in one night all packed into a one car garage playing Halo Combat Evolved for hours. The night I was first introduced to this was the night I not only became a Halo fan, but a Bungie fan. The camaraderie of that moment was something that made me realize the amazing friends I have around me.

  • The game was Halo: Reach. I started up my lobby, brought up the Xbox guide, and sent out fifteen invites to the participants of the latest community carnage. The ranks of the Red and Blue teams spent the next hours brawling, striving for victory each match. The five game series concluded, but there were no losers there. Everyone traded hearty remarks about their trip ups and triumphs. Friendships were forged. My favorite moment playing a Bungie game was that night, not because the content of the game, but the content of the amazing community built around it.

  • The first Xbox game I had ever played was halo: combat evolved. I remember way back when my friends and I would all gather in a friends basement and we would play halo for hours on end! I would always look forward to the times we were planning on playing halo! It was the most fun I had ever had! The only reason I ever even got an Xbox was because this of that game! Even now my friends and I all still get together to play Halo: CE and relive the many great memories that we had growing up with the halo franchise.

I remember booting up Halo 2 multiplayer for the very first time, as I was wisked away into online multiplayer I faced my first tee bag and it was something truly unique. I will never forget the guy who did it, his gamer tag was Supreme Noob and he was an orange Spartan who changed my life forever.

  • I was playing Halo CE waaay back when it was first released in '01. I was playing with my older brother and a friend of his in the guy's attic. We were playing Slayer on Hang 'Em High, and I saw my brother's character off in the distance on a platform. I took out my pistol and zoomed in, then started shooting. He laughed at me, saying "What are you going to do, snipe me with the pistol?" My response after emptying my clip into his head and killing him was a flat "Yes." Best. First. Video game kill. Evar. Of all time.

  • Sleeping over at a friend's. Feverishly trying to beat The Maw, yet keep crashing/don't know where to go. Finally, we learn the route, but time keeps running out/die. Then, his mom tells us we have 5 minutes....only 1 more shot(!). Destiny is on our side. The straightaway to the ship! My friend dead. Shields gone. 1 bar of health. I'm weaving in and out of plasma/needler fire. I run up the ramp, but strafe right to avoid the needler shards. I get back on the ramp and trigger the cut-scene with 3 seconds to spare. Destiny was on our side.

  • On Halo 3, my buddy and I were playing on matchmaking slayer Valhalla with Spartan Lasers and Rocket Launchers. Now my friend's not fantastic at Halo but he can hold his own sometimes, but this time he really made me proud. Right off the bat he took the hill and within 5 minutes he made the entire enemy team quit by just using the Splaser.

  • Halo 3-Custom Game-"Jumpers"-Full speed and Jump-Last man standing also got full speed and jump. Hours of entertainment with all of my friends dodging mach 3 zombies racing for the warthog, driving as evasively as we could with the zombie clipping the end of the warthog. Dodging landmines hoping we didn't flip over and get killed. Then it came down to the last man, unlimited ammo and just as fast as the zombies. Endlessly backpedaling and killing zombies by the truckload. But eventually we would wise up and hit him from both sides.....after he had gotten around 80 kills =D But it didn't matter as we were having tons of fun!

  • During Halo 3's heyday, a friend and I found that if you stood (not rode, mind you, but stood) on a mongoose, you could grab a flag without stopping, or even slowing down. However, online lag and Halo 3's wiggly, easy to flip mongeese and meant it wasn't easy. So we practiced, for hours. Spent even longer in BTB lobbies, voting for the right map, until the stars aligned. It was perfect. Too perfect not to do a victory lap. Too bad we got nailed by a splaser the second we rounded the bend. (Proof it can be done! This was a second attempt. No showboating here)

  • I was looking out over a vast Sidewinder landscape through a sniper scope just enjoying the scenery. Suddenly, a Cobalt head pops into my finely tuned sights. It was buddy foolishly trotting along unaware of the distant death pointed at him. I pull the trigger, he jumps, and I hit him square in the cod piece. His limp body falls to the snow. I look at my pal and whisper “Head Shot.”. He looks at me confused and says “But you hit me in the... oh.” and then we just laugh and laugh.

  • I remember the first mission which I played with my dad, the only time he has played with that pad. Fastly I brought my best friend with me, our summed age exceeded the game's PEGI rating. The sixth was the scary one, and the fifth we played far more than once; I remember my friend jumping to the middle of that unnamed thing, it let us finish without enemy praying. Once I got myself a banshee somehow, but there were nothing hidden in the places I thought. We started counting how many times we had seen the credits, but lost the count after fourteen. -- It has been a long time since our paths split apart, I haven't seen my friend as much as I want. Neither does dad play any games with me, he has become old you see. They told me it was time wasted back then, but the memories still touch me today.

  • Dear people at Bungie, I have been a dedicated Bungie fan for several years now. I have played almost all of your great games and had a great time doing so. But there is one of those times that will never be forgotten in my heart. It was a day like any other day, I barely even new what video games were (Don't judge, I was five years old.) Anyways my friend, two doors down, had just gotten the original Xbox with only one game to play. That game was the beloved Halo 2. I will never forget the first time I laid eyes on the beautiful scenery of Halo. Altogether it was me and 3 others playing split-screen. The first map we ever played was Headlong and I myself used the dual SMGs. We played for 4 hours strait while munching on some delicious popcorn and Caprisun pouches. In fact the experience was so fantastic that I bought and Xbox the day after along with Halo CE and Halo 2. That was my favorite moment playing a Bungie game and I hope many more will come while play Destiny. This is probably more than the required amount of words but hey I'm a rebel and this moment deserves more than 100 words. Love, a loyal and dedicated Bungie fan

  • favorite moment was when my mate and I were playing through the campaign on Halo CE on legendary. It wasn't for achievements or recognition just to test ourselves and have fun. When we got to the maw and completed it, seeing that extra seen with the elite was awesome. We had no Internet to speak of really, so seeing that scene we knew nothing about made us feel like champions

  • My friends and I were playing Halo 3. It was CTF on Valhalla and it was tied 2 to 2 with about a minute left in the match. We were driving the flag back to base in the warthog.. It seemed to be a easy capture however I looked back and saw five missile pod rockets coming right towards us. We were all freaking out until we heard our friend say "I got this" and drove another warthog behind us and used himself as a spartan shield. His sacrifice saved us and we captured the flag and won the game.

  • My favorite moment is when i first got my xbox 360 and I opened up Halo 3 and played co-op campaign for the first time. It was a breathtaking experience, waking up as chief, seeing the Arbiter as a teammate and from that moment on I have loved Halo and continue to play Halo 3's campaign over and over again with no break in between. You guys sparked my love for videogames and it will always stay with me

  • My favorite moment was soon after I unlocked the katana in halo 3. Having a group of my friends standing around me to get a good look at it in forge was very cool. Needless to say they were very jealous. Many of them challenged me one on one to prove that they were better but I defeated them all.

  • Playing invasion slayer with chums and we were Covenant. The game was almost over and we had a Warthog. I was a power sword Elite so I figured I'd drive or gun my friends decide they'll instead. "Guess I'm riding bitch" so I hop in the side seat. Up the path is a Spartan. I yell over the Mic "Drive closer I want to hit him with my sword!" He jumps our Warthog and I swung my Sword. Then the sound of my blade hitting and the game ended. I landed the final kill of the game.

    • I came back to school for my Sophomore year after being shut in my house due to social anxiety. During lunch I sat next to some people talking about Halo. I felt the onset of an anxiety attack. One of the guys said something about the type of weapon I'd use. I said something like, “Nah. I prefer the Battle Rifle.” After that, we talked about the fun we had with Halo games and about the upcoming release of Halo: Reach. Ever since that day, we've played games together and are still friends, despite us going to different colleges.

      • I had Pre ordered Halo Reach after looking at all the trailers and it felt like forever waiting for the release. I came home to my mother telling me that the game had not come, sneaky woman had it behind her back all the way through the rant I had about postmen. Cheeky Woman. The opening video and music sent me crazy, I had to start drumming along. My favorite moment has got to be the time when me and my friends realized we could pilot a pelican by doing the Easter egg on New Alexandria, totally awesome. I love the Halo franchise and I love Bungie!

      • Last summer, my friends and I went back on halo 3 and played some online. We ended up in a full lobby and everyone had mics, which is something that hasn't happened in years. We convinced everyone to play through the whole slayer game melee only. It was team slayer on Construct and it was by far one of the best and funniest halo game i have ever played. (My team won btw, hehehehehe)
