My favorite was beating the Halo 3 campaign on Legendary with my cousin and my brother. We played through every mission as normal and skipped over Cortana to move onto the last mission. After beating every other mission, we moved onto Cortana. Cortana was a beast, and it was ready to kill. It took us an hour or two to run through it. We were nearing the end, about to head for the Pelican, when my brothers headset died, shutting his Xbox off. This resulted in the game ending. We were so close. We ran through it one more time, and finished the game. While this may seem like a dim moment, the reward was even better at the end.

I remember when I was 13 and I played Halo 3 custom games with other players. No glitches and no trouble just laughing and the sound of excitement. Halo 3 felt like it was a big part of my childhood.

One of my favorite moments in Halo 3 was when my friend was riding a Chopper on Sandtrap and I sniped him while he was driving in the air after a big jump. It was awesome and we always bring it up when we go back to play any Halo game.

Edited by TheSandwichLivz: 7/7/2013 11:42:42 PMOh, gather ‘round lads n’ ladies and listen t’ the tale! ‘Twas me and this lass, ‘bout six ale’s in a piece, aye, playin none other’n Halo Reach. Blue was ‘head ten, Paradiso was the map. Both us were in a Warthog, see? When lo’ behold, we turn that corner and ther’ be a Scorpion tank! Now, we reflexes were off, but we charged t’ward certain death! Shot left of us, shot to the right! Guns blazin', we kept going! Our hog on fire, we hit a ramp and flew over that tank as it blew! We lost the match.

1 ReplyWind at my back, Sniper Rifle in hand. Avalanche. Big Team. Chaos. I turn just in time to see a Ghost splatter a teammate; a dear friend. Fallen soldier. Fury spreads through me like.... something that spreads fast. But my body was ready. I quickly zoom in once, then again. I line up my sights, laugh to myself a little because I know and he doesn't. He jumps to avoid a death from some close quarters combat below. Instead, my bullet sailed through someone's face crouched behind him with Active Camouflage. Nailed it.

Only 100 words? Do these count? I hope not... My favorite moment was finally finishing helping my friend get the last piece of his armor in Reach. We are very passionate about our armor sets, and mine has remained the same since it was achieved years ago. Finally seeing him put on his Mk. VI helmet was glorifying, knowing that we wouldn't have to get used to a different look anymore, but now, he was truly him.

Edited by Jolly Red Joker: 7/8/2013 12:24:43 AMMy friend Carter and I were doing a legendary run of the Halo Reach campaign a few summers ago. On the level Pillar of Autumn we came up against a wraith that just kept killing us over and over again, which frustrated the hell out of us. We then devised a plan to use the nearby forklift as a distraction. Carter jumped into the forklift and drove directly into the front of the wraith, which then blew him into smithereens, this gave me the chance to run behind the wraith and shove a grenade into the engine. It was glorious!

CTF. Hemorrhage. Wraith. Someone started shooting it to let an enemy destroy me. Respawned, I shot him a bit. Shooting back, he grabs a warthog. I get in, and he drives off the cliff. I survive, t-bagging. Later, he retrieves the enemy flag when I splatter hard enough so his shields pop. As planned, he's headshotted. I took the flag, escaping with my friend I make my triumphant capture. He runs in grenading, betraying me. Boot. Hate messages: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB!!!!" . He joins my party. We muted mics, laughing. "Y U NO HAV MIC! U LIVE IN TRAILER?" "Love you too :)".

One night me and my friend decided we were going to beat the halo 4 campaign on legendary without dying. We failed multiple times but of course, we still had a blast.

I'll do mine in haiku. Inhale, Flag taken. Gasoline, burning rubber Exhale, Flag captured.

1 ReplyMe and my best bro Aric were playing team doubles (snipers) on Guardian and getting our butts handed to us by a couple that I still swear to this day was cheating, they were literally shooting me through walls... After about 5 minutes, the score is 10 to 23 (25 kill victory) and i get so mad that i just snap! Aric is camping Gold Lift, wilst i run from point to point killing as I go (killing Spree!). With only 2 more kills to win, they decide to rush us from Overshield (BIG MISTAKE!). I run to Active Camo and shoot them down, then run right to the Blue room, shoot them down again (with some help from Aric), drop down to Shotgun and head to the bottom of Gold Lift and shoot them down as they pass the Gravity Hammer (Killing Frenzy!) Go up the lift, look at the Stump, Double Spawn Kill! Reload and regroup. They flank us from Blue room, Jumping, Melee, jumping Shooting (He got a no scope! no scope! no no no no no scope!) and we manage to take the lead 24 to 23. One point from Victory when Aric finally gets shot dead from overshield. 24 to 24, its a tie game and the next kill wins... I drop down a level and take the lift to Overshield intending to meet them where they are, and I found them... crouching on the back ramp, one expertly placed shot takes them both through the head, Double Kill! Running Riot! Sweet sweet Victory!

It was dark. The city had been ravaged. We were rookies but we weren't green. New Mombasa had seen better days. We landed here hours ago. Cut off and lost from our squad, my friend and I were going to find out what happened. Together we fought and died putting the clues together. Maybe we did Earth good...maybe we didn't...but we got the job done. Feet first into hell!

My favorite moment was getting a Killtacular for the first time in Halo 2. It was 4 player splitscreen with my brother and two friends so it was somewhat difficult. This was before I had XBL which was a looong time ago. Later when I got home I googled the other mulitkill medals to see what the highest was and that's when I first learned about Bungie and 7.

My favorit time playing a Bungie game? that's a hard question because i have many great memorable times playing halo, but my favorit time must be when i was 6 years old and i played Halo for the first time. Me and my older brother was at my cousins place and we watched as he played halo 2. My cousin asked us if we wanted to join. after a few minutes he got us two controlers and we started to play. the map was Ivory Tower, me and my brother was on one team and my cousin was on his own team. I remember sneaking up behind him and hit him in the back. and that was the story of the first time i played Halo and my first kill. Thanks Bungie, For so many great games!

My favorite moments were playing custom games on Halo 2. Every Friday night my friends and I would join a game of Tower Power on Ascension or Zombies on Foundation. We would play throughout the night and never get tired. It is what sparked my love for video games and I will never forget it. Thank you Bungie!

that time me and my friends were trying to get the vidmaster endure achievement and the last wave our 4th guy just quit..........yup....good times

Game: "Halo 3" Game Type: "Team Deathmatch" Map: Vallahalla lol My friends and I were on the "Red Team" starting out. As I ran straight underneith to go grab the sniper, here comes the "Blue Team" rushing out of nowhere like Ninjas killing off my whole team, except for me. As I stayed hidden crouched down, waiting for the next move to make, I hear our warthog getting jacked. As the blue team was taken off, I've noticed that I needed to act fast. As they were driving away, they had no idea where I was located. As they were riding off into the sunset side by side, I quickly noticed the Spartan laser which was located near the middle of the map. As I aimed at both warthogs riding side by side, I jumped up and lasered both warthogs. As their bodies were taking a swan dive, I've realized ,that was one of the most epic moments in my Halo 3 days with the team. Thanks for reading =)

My favorite memory of Halo goes back to when I played it for the first time. I was always a fan of Bungie games having played them on the Mac. but could not afford a console. Then came a weekend that I was to take my pre-adolescent son for a weekend away to talk about the "Birds, the Bee's and growing up". I wanted to have some fun time with him as well to break the ice and create time to let him process the information to later ask questions. So I rented an XBOX, controllers, Halo 2 and off to a hotel we went. The teaching time went well, but the gaming was phenomenal. We played the campaign as a team, both of us being challenged to learn the controllers, fighting the Covenant and being blown away by the graphics and the advances in game story telling. This became a true bonding experience and since then we have played all of the Halo games together, discussed the Halo canon and challenged each others slayer skills. Now with Destiny on the Horizon we are looking forward to even greater times, and who knows, maybe Destiny will be the game he takes with him when taking his own son to learn about the "Birds, the Bees and growing up".

Endure. Another Friday evening arrived, which meant another courageous attempt at our team’s final Vidmaster Challenge. It all came down to the final wave, and last enemy… the Brute Chieftain. A quick glance showed we would not have the advantage of lives in this final conflict. With one brave fighter down for the count, and the Chieftain’s invincibility wearing off, our screams of “SPLIT UP!” and “NO, STICK TOGETHER!” echoed as we fought our wild, hammer-wielding enemy. Once the smoke cleared, our achievements shone brightly and perpetually. Each of us assaulted bungie.net with pride. That moment will always endure.

100 words was very hard by the way. So many amazing memories. If I may add, that night the stand out point still was Snipers on Boarding Action. Each team had there side, 5 second spawn escape if you appeared on the wrong side.... Amazing... Now I can only pull off a Lan once a year on my birthday, And a awesome send off to Bungie's Halo, two years ago I downloaded an amazing remake for Reach of Boarding action and that's how we ended the night. Full circle, I love you Bungie and we've missed you. I'm sure this is also over 100 words but I'm being nostalgic at the moment and had to express. I know I will have ten more years of memories and I can't wait to Forge my Destiny.

The time I played my first networked Myth game. The time my dwarves blew themselves up. The time I took out a whole team with one whight. The time I loaded up Halo for the first time and watched the POA fly past my escape pod. The time I huddled 32 kids together for 2 16 player games of Blood Gulch CTF. The time I launched a tank up to a bridge on AOTCR The time I captured the winning flag with 1 second left. My favorite moment? All of them, every single moment I play a Bungie game.

Edited by DoubleOBiteMe: 7/8/2013 1:05:47 AMBOOM! The loud shot rings out, the speeding ghost explodes. "Tank beats ghost." Can be heard as I drop off the cliff, using the Behemoth like the ATV it is. The hunters emerge from the tunnel. Letting my friend Ace spray them down with the turret, to make him feel useful. I fired the Scorpion again, "Tank beats hunter." Coming around the bend a Phantom comes into view. Ace starts unloading as I take aim. Four successive shots and the phantom ignites falling to the ground. The fiery explosion fills the screen as my favorite line is uttered, "tank beats everything."

Yeah, Matt was pissed at me. We'd spent the day trudging through Heroic on Silent Cartographer (Heroic was hard for 12 year olds) Tensions were high, and the fact that I'd intentionally kill my friend Matt whenever he stepped in front of me didn't ease the mood. His Warthog relentlessly rammed into mine, as I tried to squeeze into a narrow canyon entrance. To our amazement, as his warthog rammed the 6th time, it managed to squeeze through. Both of our jaws dropped. We could now kill the hunters, lurking up the hill, with ease. Friendship Reunited.

Edited by Makeshyft: 7/7/2013 11:31:46 PMMy Falcon was on fire, flames licking across my screen as I checked the score: 98-98. Down to the wire. I swung under the bridge, dodging the small arms fire from the spartans above. "Annie! Low left, two kills to go!" I cried to my gunner, swinging sidelong to give her a better angle. The chain-gun spun to life. "Rook! Rocket! ROCKET!" I heard her yell back. I yanked on the stick, throwing the Falcon sideways and tensed myself for the inevitable impact. It didn't come. The rocket had gone right through the gunner cabin. "YES!" We both screamed.

My friend and I were playing a co-op campaign of Halo: Reach—Pillar of Autumn. My helmet ablaze with blue fire, his cyan armor a stark contrast to the barren landscape, we sped beneath mighty legs of giant alien walkers and over the bodies of hapless foot-soldiers so unfortunate as to land between the path of our mighty truck. Coming upon a broken bridge over a mighty chasm, we halted; he with a rocket got atop the truck. I was to count down, he to fire, and as a majestic bird, we flew boosted by fire.

Halo 3. Joined a game with my brother and his friend. We were playing capture the flag in Valhalla. Immediately, we all three jump into a warthog while others run. Dodging rockets and snipers all the way to the base, my brother drifts in the back of the enemy tower while his friend jumps out. I watch as my brothers' friend, with the flag, fly from the man cannon and land directly onto the warthog while we drive across the field to our base. The game was over in three minutes and twelve seconds. It was amazing.
