The Xbox One will do poorly at launch, not because it is a bad product but because:
- Alienated 'launch' buyers (see: Core crowd)
- Families won't see the point in purchasing a new console after just buying a $120-150 addon to their Xbox
- MS thinks families WILL pay ~~$500, they won't.
- No Halo on launch
- Kinect 2 isn't innovative
- Stagnant wages all over the west
- Very few, if any, good points over the PS4 for non-Americans
The Xbox 'One' will sell only slightly better than the Wii-U is now.
You may disagree with me, but the simple fact is that I am right and I will be proved right; if I'm not you can message me after Christmas and I'll donate $20 to a charity of someone's choice.
The far more interesting thing is what happens to the PS4, it's highly possible we'll see that fail as well although it's definitely a more steady, sturdy choice with very little diversification for the console, they're essentially hitting the same market that the PS3 went for.
The 'Xbox One' will not do what the Wii did, anybody claiming or even thinking that it will is a -blam!-ing moron. The Wii did well because it was innovative, cheap and Nintendo (thus hitting much of the core crowd, the family crowd and the budget crowd); the 'Xbox One' is not innovative, it is not cheap and it 'is' Microsoft.
P.s. This isn't even a games console, it's an entertainment box; it's aimed squarely at Google and Apple rather than Sony. I find it amusing that 'gamers' even care about it for the games now.

The reveal was just an overview of its new features, not its future gaming features.
