Do you ever make a thread and nobody comments in it? That always makes me feel sad when that happens. I have more threads with 0 replies than popular threads.
So tell me community: Do you ever feel like everyone's ignoring you if no one replies in your thread?
-
I've racked up my share of 0's as well.
-
Every. Single. Time
-
Why worry bout it? If people don't reply to it its not a big deal, just make another one. If they still don't reply offer cake in the next one. If they still don't reply, then they are doing it wrong because cake is best.
-
I never make threads... this is why. :'(
-
It Depends how much effort I put in it.
-
I'm gonna whoop this topic's ass.
-
I get a wee bit upset when I spend a long time writing up some insane thread and then it doesn't get any replies. I know the feeling. :(
-
i made a shoe thread and nobody commented, which sucked because i was asking suggestions for new shoes :(
-
If that happens, just try again in a couple hours or something, but maybe also reference the zero posts your last thread had so it doesn't look like spam.
-
Maybe it's just because this is self-referential, but I feel the need to comment in this thread.
-
That has never happened to me.
-
Sometimes threads don't deserve a replay because... it has the answer in them or are stuff we already know. OR simply we are lazy to click "comment"
-
Nobody's ignoring you. I promise. Just keep at it and don't ever make threads just to make threads. Make a thread after you've discovered an interesting topic that you yourself would want to contribute to a discourse on, even if it weren't your own topic.

Edited by kappus 000: 3/6/2013 8:38:54 PMthere could be a few reasons why you don't get a reply and (without wanting to whine) i'm not sure the new layout or amount of new threads helps. that you get some replies or popular threads means someone must be reading your posts. i appreciate those that are willing to put there thoughts out there, whether i agree or not. i haven't made many threads. some have got comments, some haven't. this community has room for many.
-
Always.
-
Well maybe if you stop posting Shi-tty threads, then ill start commenting more. Seriously tho, get a life
-
Very rarely i have unsuccessful threads, actually the first "successful" thread i made ended up as a top topic so i don't usually struggle.
-
I made a very important thread regarding newfound reasons to assert that the Giant Impact Hypothesis for the Moon's origin was incorrect and that it needed to be reevaluated, and nobody gave a shit.

Edited by CrazzySnipe55: 3/6/2013 5:31:53 AMAll the time. I mean, I've been getting pretty lucky lately with 3 out of my last 5 threads going 75+, but one of them is working its way off the front page of the Destiny forums with a big fat goose-egg and the other one only got like 20something. But yeah, I've had plenty of threads drop off the face of the Earth. I thought it was because people didn't like me so I started posting threads with alts for a while, but they still died so I've come to the conclusion that my style of thread (which amounts to an essay most of the time) is highly polarizing, and the definition of hit-or-miss.
-
I always get replies for some reason.
-
i've lurked these forums for forever but just recently started participating... I think I've started 2, maybe 3 threads so far? My only popular one is a dick joke..
-
I hate it to. I think most people wont post in a thread unless they can bitch at each other.
-
That's usually what I expect will happen when I make a thread, especially on this new site. One reason I rarely make threads anymore. It doesn't really bother me if people don't post in my threads though.
-
Keep calm and post on.
-
I no longer make threads. It's the surest way to not get warnings.
-
I find that if you make no threads, you end up less disappointed.
