Speculation on Armor and Mods, in keeping identity.

One of the things I always find a little hilariously tragic about most games that claim to diversify their players is that, while all the armor and weapons and gear in general is diverse, it tends to have its own cemented stats. For example, say you like your starting armor for the most part. Well sooner or later you're going to have to ditch it for the better stuff. If you want to contend with the later levels of the game you're going to have to dawn the Blazer of Awkwardness and Jeans of Casual Wear somewhere down the road so you're not being murdered almost effortlessly. However, if the armors themselves have customization in the form of modification you could see an end to that, at least in Destiny. Granted, I'm going to assume there's still base stats to armors, but modifications could still allow one to dawn whatever cape, helmet, or lucky slippers one wants. Because, well, you know if the armors are locked in stats everyone's going to prance about in the highest rated Blazers. What do yins think?

  • If anyone played DC Universe they probably know the syle menu. This gives you the option to use the look of any item you have ever equipped in the game. You can also change the color. I think this would be a good idea for Destiny to do as well to add personalization to the player.
