What do you want in Destiny?

Let this be a Topic driven by peoples ideas where people can say what they would like to see in the game and thoughts on what already is in the game. I would like to see many classes other than Titan, Warlock and Hunter. Such as a heavy class that could take a lot of damage and deal out average damage, be a bit slower than other classes in reloading and movement. I would also like an engineer class where you could deploy A.I. that assists you in fights and which you could repare teammate equipment. (A class for people who don't necessarily want to be running and gunning.) Be Brave

  • I'd like an item that would turn a few enemies in close proximity to allies for a time. And definitely like to see aerial battles! It's one of the big disappointments in Destiny for me...

    Faction wars, patrol crucible zones, darkness guardians, more tower space and more tower vendors/activities, increased cap for glimmer, increased weekly cap for marks, ability to lock items to avoid accidental discard/mantle, ship dogfights, wildlife on planets (where the hell are all the animals, all i see are birds), sword of cotra kind of melee weapon in crucible that randomly pops up, ability to travel to the city not just tower (this could also be a way to expand tower and add mor vendors), animal companions of the light that fight by your side(pve) and maybe as a heavy ammo kind of thing in pvp, more shaders, more deathtraps in the overworld (like skyrim), faction based ghost shells, and more ghost shells in general, more land based vehicles for both pve and pvp, more areas to explore on the planets ex. Instead of just being in russia also go to usa or something, phantom guardian from creepypastas ive seen on forums, underwater area, a new enemy faction(s), proximity chat/matchmade chat, people in the tower/overworld that give quest (apart from bounties/patrol missions), and last but not least and also probably not my most important thing either more factions. Edit: also tower public events where we have to protect the city from enemy forces. Imagine that, a whole lobby of guardians (like 16 or something all fighting a horde of fallen, itd be like a mega event)

    • I've always been a fan of in-depth character customization. I would really like faction specific stuff like armor, weapons, equipment, abilities, or insignias. Since this game is supposed to evolve over 10 years, i would really like something kinda permanent like medals, titles, or symbols that can be gained and imply if u once belonged to a specific faction or fought in some major battle or competition.

    • I was actually hoping to get ahold of Bungie for this idea because I thought it was so good. Skill based missions that take place at a specific times. Since, we are pushing back for our solar system, it would be awesome to get everyone on at 8 or 9EST to do missions that would affect the entire universe. If we started an attack on the Citadel for example (Picture Above) it would be amazing for grunts to flood the front lines and brag about how many enemies they killed. Meanwhile, tactical players could take out important defenses like turrets or power. Then, Top notch players could do the tactical heavy missions. Infiltrate and disable the enemy vehicle bay, leave them stranded! Abduct an enemy leader... or assassinate them! Become a legend! With this everyone gets to do something fun and be apart of the community and lore! Player 1: I was on the ground during the attack of the citadel. Killed 53 guys! Player 2: Oh, yea! Well, you wouldn't have got that far if I wouldn't have taken down the defense shield. I only killed 23 guys but you wouldn't have gone anywhere without me. Player 3: Well they won't be pushing back for a while. I took down their com tower and thanks to the distraction you guys gave I was even able to sneak in the back door and take out their general. This would mold the world. Players would have once in a lifetime oppurtunites to have their name written into Destiny's history. What if Player 3's attempt failed? This would mean the General is still alive for the next battle. What if Player 2 couldn't get the shield down? This might make it impossible for Player 3 to have enough of a distraction to get to the general or for Player 1 to get a flank on the enemy. And what if Player 1 only killed 2 enemies? The enemy wouldn't be pushed out and we could even lose the battle. [quote]I hope that it doesn't feel like I'm some kind of badass one-man-army[/quote] -And Im Here Too I agree, and you wouldn't have any advantage over other players except skill. Of course everyone would want to be in the Elite group so a PVP or PVE tournament could determine your worth. If you've developed a name as a top notch player (I.E. killing a general) You could lead these top notch squads or even go down the ladder and just help with the grunt work. How awesome would it be to fight beside the guy who single handedly took out a well know leader!? Of course, I'm not fully sure of what this might imply for development or current plans since I don't work for Bungie. *wink wink nudge nudge* But it's a rough idea that was inspired by "Destiny’s basics to seven key pillars" I read about on IGN. They do what the do, for us. Our lives are too short to have people guess what we want, and wait until it comes. Voices are to be heard, and ideas to be expressed. It seems our destiny has fallen short of personally visiting our planets. Let's take advantage of our imaginations and see how far Bungie's Destiny can take us.

      • A field medic, 40k apothecary style class, 100 + players fighting AI on a battlefield to defend the last city with artilery raining down on the battlefield as the rain pours down, running over your visor as round after round hits the ground.

        • Things that i hope they will add Tower: Chatroom. Rifle range. NPC reacting to the story campaign. Open up the area currently exclusive to Iron Banner event. I love the scenery! MOAR PURPLE BALLS!! Explore: Destructible environment. More dynamic events other than public events. More collectibles other than dead ghost and loot/golden chest. Gameplay: More emotes. Dual wield handcannons(its not going to happen i know)

          a fallen rebel named Entenoxx and he doesn't kill you cause he's a rebel so he's on the guardians side and he sometimes appears in the tower and sells gear and you can also find him killing enemies for them to drop gear for him to sell

              • A few people have voiced some ideas seperately that I would like to add my approval of plus a few ideas of my own. PVP: The bottom line is that this game needs a renewable amount of fun while allowing the player to feel as though they are making contributions to the war effort. If there is simply one faction fighting against the computer (PVE) good players (and those without lives) will push to the end of the story fairly quickly and thus drop the game - it certainly won't last ten years. The only way I can see bungie being able to stop this would be to release the various parts of the campaign to retake Earth's territories in chunks. Sadly this will create a hurry up and wait attitude in the game. People will finish the active portion of the campaign and have nothing to do in the game for months (arbitrary time estimate), which will breed dissintrest. I personally agree that Open World PVP does provide an answer to this. By creating an area on the map that contains objectives, resources, or simply territory that humanity needs to advance the war against the aliens. The only way to provide a countering force for this is to make the aliens a playable race. Now you have a virtual tug of war between the two sides of the conflict each trying to advance their cause. Some of you no doubt see Warhammer Online's RVR in this and I will admit that I did steal some of this from that (although I don't see defending and taking midieval castles in this), but the one thing they shouldn't do is act as if nothing has happened should one side win. I believe that control should reset with the victorious side gaining certain boons or titles. SPECIALIZATION: I love being able to tinker with a toon. I've been known to respec almost at the drop of a hat. The more variation and options available the better. I would like to see a system (possibly through armor) that manipulates stats directly, a system that allows the player to choose abilities and pass over those they don't like (I find I like multi -ladder systems for this. Each rung up a ladder would enhance capabilities for specific specialties while allowing players to pick up additional abilities they might like) I think it would be great if there were certain hidden abilities that became available as specialization requirements were met. For instance: If you were five rungs up on the first ladder with a particlular ability and eight rungs up the fourth ladder (possibly with a specific ability there unlocked) then a new ability would be aqcuired that was related to both. I also enjoyed the title system from Warhammer. I usually used the funny ones like pin cusion', or 'healer's hassle'. It occurs to me that in order to open up new fronts in the war and progress it it would be fun if certain requirements were met. For instance one post here mentioned killing a general during a battle. What if eliminating the general was a requirement for moving the war along, but how you did it was completely up to you and your team? Sorry about the wall of text. It's something I'm working on.

                      • Virtual property that you can buy/earn, and customize with Forge. Imagine owning a base on Mars, or Spaceport on the moon. We can virtually rebuild cities on earth, and expand our civilization deep in the universe. Players would have a sense of ownership in the game. Could turn into a cash cow since their is an entire solar system to inhabite. Also I would like to see a fair in-game currency system in place. A currency that you can earn by playing the game, that would be the same if you payed for it with real money. EA does something similar with MLB the show and Madden, but it's a total rip-off, for those who don't pay the extra money.
