I thought this came to an end when Frankie left?
I just read the Polygon article and it is filled to the brim with promises. "We will do this. We will do that. We'll be the first to do this. And we will absolutely change how people.... and so on.

Do you guys think gamers today exaggerate way too much on their assumptions thus creating ridiculous rumors that get pumped through the forums day in and day out as if they are fact?
-
That's how you market video games. You make promises, tell us what you hope to achieve and then go for it. Unfortunately, deadlines force cuts so I doubt they'll deliver on every promise, but it's bungie, they'll do their best to give us a great game. I wonder though how much will be cut from destiny when compared to what was cut from halo. My point is, will bungie be more or less productive under Activision? We'll see.

Bungie will deliver.

The more they hype it the more people buy it

Yes, they didn't have much to show. No doubt they are hyping it up. Just don't believe a word of it, and you'll probably like the game. I know I knew nothing of Destiny before today's reveal and was satisfied with the knowledge I've attained. But yeah, I don't think Destiny will really take off until Destiny 2.

Developers always make promises they never (or barely) keep. It's called hype.
