When addressing loot drop rng complaints, DMG stated on twitter that it would not be a reasonable fix by the end of the week, and to take advantage of event tokens if drops are being frustrating. However, event tokens are unbelievably scarce, and the prices for items using event tokens are far too high. Glimmer inflation is never going to be fixed at this point, but event tokens can. Specific weapons cost 60 event tokens, with the engram containing one of 4 possibilities costs 50. After completing the weekly challenge, the maximum amount of event tokens obtainable per day is 30, meaning it takes TWO FULL DAYS to purchase A SINGLE WEAPON, and the same amount of time is required to gamble on the engram. Why are the costs so high if the players are extremely limited? Why not have repeatable quests that give maybe 5 tokens, or even better have them drop from winning matches to discourage AFKing and quitting, which are both running rampant as per usual. Event tokens seem clearly designed to be a fallback incase of bad RNG, but are unbelievably limited for no true reason. I had a 33 game streak of not getting a single weapon drop, and there was no way to help that using tokens. Please consider putting any level of effort into these events if you want people to continue playing. There is no reason to limit the players in this way.
