Purple ball was originally in the d1 tower! You could kick it on top of the kiosk and then “activate fan” on the balcony to blow it and other players up in the air. Good times.

The purple ball on the Tower is just part of a puzzle where you keep spawning bigger and bigger balls, and the last one is basically the Traveler itself with either Destiny or Bungie logo on it, not sure. The spawn zone with Eris on the Moon also has another ball puzzle, but i've never seen it completed. These soccer balls were however just seemingly randomly placed in the world, no purpose and no context, just a funny find. Suffice to say, they are long since gone.

It has an order, at the end it spawns a traveler ball... It's a weird beach ball party where the stakes lead to someone falling off the tower... And the counter in the hangar drops back to zero...

I don't think so... I remember seeing it on YouTube... It probably came with a "how it was discovered"... It gave a buff at the end I think, kinda like the "floor is lava" game does...
