*wanders out of the alleyway and enters the parlor of the pizza...
"it's in full swing this weekend it's good to see such merriment despite the harsh season it raises the spirit...
*A rare grin crosses the mercenaries face as he takes in the sights...."
"The little critters are not getting into trouble I hope?

"I'm glad you made it in to see us. The slimes are definitely behaving. I'm not sure where they came from, though. We'd sold them to clients at the end of the spooky season. I made sure the person who had each one had slimes already or was asking the right questions and willing to put in the work to keep them properly. These all appeared one or two at a time over the last few days. They're so well-behaved, I think they're the ones you gave us after training. I guess they could be wild, but that seems an awful coincidence. I wouldn't expect them to be this well-behaved either. Is there a way to tell for sure?"

"interesting it could be that they imprinted this place as 'home' and migrated back...and if you still have any of the summoner keys leftover they might be reacting to a residual want or need for their presence during busy or festive seasons...I made sure any propagation should be absolutely minimal to prevent an outbreak which would be bad so these should be the originals...

"That may be it. I wouldn't have thought slimes would set a home. I don't have any keys leftover. Unless there's a lingering effect they're picking up on." Purplespider frowns down at a slime. " Can you tell if they've all returned? Or if there are still a few missing? I don't remember how many you left us. I suspect the new owners are going to come looking for the wayward ones soon"
-
"hmm... could be both. there is a lot of travel and hibernation this time of year and if the keys were left unattended for too long or destroyed they were supposed to return to my lab if able but the ones i opened here must have default to the pizzeria... good news is that if the keys are reactivated they should return to their owners relatively quickly...

"I guess we'll have to wait and see. The elder fire dragons are enjoying the company from the slimes. Often, when I arrive to start the day, I find some of the slimes snuggled up with the dragons on top of the ovens. Since the youngest dragons are now hibernating, I think the elders are enjoying having innocent creatures around. I've started leaving whichever slimes find their way into the kitchen. Once people start arriving, the slimes seem to make their way back out."
