Should be 2 on gms. I don't think a weapon drop is guaranteed on master and below, it's a high chance but still a chance. So you can either get 0, 1 or 2 on master with double weeks.

No, you should get 0 or 2. If you get a drop, it's double drops. Every time a Lotus drops, whether guaranteed with a plat GM clear or a random drop on lower difficulties, you should get 2.

Double drops run the drop of the nightfall twice... so it really is 0, 1 or 2. That's why you get double strange coins as well.
Double drops run the drop of the nightfall twice... so it really is 0, 1 or 2. That's why you get double strange coins as well.
I've heard of nonsense like 1 x 1 = 2 But not 2 x 1 = 1. Just as nonsensical though. If as you say run the drop of nightfall twice, how can it be 1? If it wasn't double drops would you only get half the weapon?

Think about it in more of a 'roll the dice' way. Normally you'd have 1 dice and if you roll the right number you get the prize. We have 2 dice this week... but the second dice is not guaranteed to roll the same number as the first; so you could get 0, 1 or 2 prizes. I'm not sure if this is the intention of double drops, but this is how it appears to be working. Guaranteed drops will double naturally, but anything rng will follow the above (it would seem).

And since you always get Strange coins that is dbl every time. If a Lotus drops you should be getting 2.

Only on gms. I'll repeat, master drop is not guaranteed. As such, you run that NON-GUARANTEED dice TWICE because it's double week. So you can get 0, 1 or 2. The drops are working fine because you get double coins. Just because you want it to happen doesn't mean it will happen.
