because if teammates leaving provided you with loss forgiveness then people can and will abuse that.

Very true. It's a tricky one. Maybe the quiter should lose 3x more points? That way leaving would be pure stupidity and simply finishing out the match would be the better option?

nah because if you get an internet disconnect or something that would suck and be complained about. very hot take but i believe some players deserve to have their teammates leave the game on them. that and if sbmm just made the match completely lopsided which it often does sometimes its not worth staying. the amount of games you can leave without getting a 30 minute ban is very few and far between. maybe its just me being in higher level comp lobbies but i just don't see many people maliciously leaving that often. and i think the 30 minute comp ban is very effective at what it does.
