Nah it’s a much better game now.
Quality of life in the game has dramatically improved over the past 4 years.
Build crafting alone sets the game light years ahead of where it was.
We also have had 2 out the 3 best expansions since then in WQ and FS.

Edited by A_mo: 8/15/2024 5:07:43 PMThere were a lot of good things done over the last 4 years. Especially when it comes to some of the technical aspects and visual upgrades. But some parts of the game did seem to get a little too much of the Pimp My Ride treatment. PvP was definitely one of those areas all the way up until we got things like momentum control and the new maps after it was broken, apparently because that's what the majority wanted. Not exactly sure how you make a competitive mode that is so based on what the majority wants. Its like saying the majority of tennis players don't get to go to Wimbledon so not changing that is like being forced to join a cult. At times the game just came across like it was a little too much about some people having a job. And some people not being able to do or get what other people were. Especially in PvP. And some of it was just so obvious and ridiculous that no one gets to forget it. Pimp my riiiiiiiiide!

SunslingerFix Young Ahamkara's Spine - old
QoL has also declined since things like champion mods and the constant numbers/badges in ritual activities. There's also nerfs that absolutely destroyed specific exotics that Bungue just never cared to revisit. Like Young Ahamkara's Spine. It's a mixed bag. -
final shape is/was absolute trash. although, i think you’re missing the reality due to the inartful comment. the game feels awful now. they made the entire game feel like neomuna on consoles. it feels terrible. it’s making people leave the game in droves. now, you might disagree. yet, the numbers speak for themselves. not very many people aren’t engaging with anything other than patrol. you can see it in lfg. the changes made to difficulty have done more damage to the game than sunsetting or the dcv combined.

You can’t be serious saying final shape was trash. I don’t understand why people complain the game was too easy and they tune the difficulty to make activities somewhat challenging and now the game is too hard. Final shape has been great and it’s the best reviewed expansion yet.

final shape is indeed trash. pc players love the difficulty increase because it does nothing to them. they can hardly die. consoles feels awful. no need to take my word for it. people would still be playing if they enjoyed it so much. no one engages with the raid, dual destiny, or the pale heart. just wait till the new dungeon drops then we will really see how bad it is. especially if there are timers and idiotic dumb tedious mechanics…
