Aren't Guardians supposed to be powerful?

Remember just a month ago, when we were fast and sleek killing machines? Now.....I slog around at half speed getting one shotted by everyone and everything. I am slower and much less powerful. What happened to the Super Hero fantasy? This whole thing wreaks of Vanilla Destiny 2.

Before this change I never noticed that so many people in this forum community only enjoys brainlessly running through content one shotting everything.
