I’m doing a musical and I was excited to learn that I was a named character. Just to get extremely disappointed and upset that I’m a puppet head and a voice over.
No costume. No stage appearance for the song. Just a head and a voice.
I don’t even wanna be the character anymore.

There's angles to this one. Were you going for a *specific* role or looking to tick boxes? (Named character, has lines, has an actual role, not a puppet as examples of checkboxes) There can be creativity in puppets. Without a human counterpart the puppet doesn't do any good. They're kind of a blank canvas in a way. Also, with puppets. If you're into acting and what goes into a scene; like really capturing people.... with a puppet you don't have to worry about the audience seeing you instead of the character and "breaking up the magic". Maybe that's a me thing because I can be a bit of an introvert...?

What musical? Which character?

Now you have to plot your revenge.
