Titan supers just seem boring
So before I go further, not all of them are boring. I do enjoy Thundercrash and throwing hammers. But why do Titans always end up with a super that ends up more or less as a reskin? Stasis super, Fist of Havoc, The almost forgettable burning giant maul and now Strand....they all just make a Titan roam and get in close for the kill. Maybe it's just me, but I'd love if Titans had more unique supers or at least more identity to them. They just feel like reskins of one another and pretty much boring and almost forgettable. I'm hoping the Strand super will be good, but as much as I love my Titan, the super seems pretty underwhelming.
**EDIT: So I'm gonna repeat something to the responses that are all like "titans are suppose to punch, that's what they do". No. Just stop already. Throwing Hammers are not punching. Ward of Dawn is a support super. Thundercrash is also not punching. Supers with a whole different approach already exist in game. So why is it wrong to ask for something fresh to be brought to the table?

4 RepliesMe and my mate always talk about how cool it would be if the Titan had an armor item(arms?) like hunters celestial nighthawk. Instead of throwing hammers you get a massive hammer/axe (like the rise of iron one) and you drag it behind you then hurl it with both hands from behind your back so it spins with a solar flame and it does one hit damage like celestial but with a solar explosion splash effect to, would look pretty awesome.

Still think Titan stasis should have been hurling ice spikes at stuff, with the spikes shattering and freezing stuff. You could charge it up and throw a massive one.

The Captain America one is still my favorite, IDC how bad it is lol. Though hammers are pretty cool too. Same with dawnblade where you shoot the swords (throw?).

Edited by THA_3rd_GUY: 2/8/2023 5:38:02 PMIt's funny that this is exactly how the community felt when Behemoth was first shown off. And I'm sure Behemoth is the both the least used and less popular Stasis Class. As a Titan main, I like the Warlock Stasis Class more.

Really disappointed that titans didn’t get anything new or unique with Strand. I only have time to play 1 class, and I’ve mained titan since D1 beta because it played most like Master Chief. I think Bungie’s design team needs to be more aware that not everyone plays all 3 classes and make sure they achieve better balance next time.

2 RepliesThe only Strand super that maybe seems good, at least on paper, is the Warlock one. But when you are pigeonholed into Well for every meaningful encounter because Bungie refuse to change their encounter/boss design I am sure that Strand will be a low end gimmick all around.

2 RepliesIdk, I like it but that might be because it reminds me of Dual Blades from Monster Hunter. A ranged or one-off super would’ve been better though. But the same thing about repeat super concepts can be said about the new hunter super, Spectral Blades and Arc Staff

Bungie has told pvp players “we don’t want you” and they have essentially told Titan mains the sub. All good, you won’t get any more money from me. Not with Triangle hands as the payofff……

As I have said before Hunters get a whip of sorts Warlocks get strand pups or whatever you want to call them and all titans get is triangle hands as a melee super which basically similar to stasis for them. Disappointing

2 RepliesAlmost entirely agree. I get the pattern of close quarter and melee combat for Titans. But I believe in most PvE and many PvP scenarios you are dead long before you close the gap. Fist of Havoc or Behemoth against a Shrieker or a floating Hive Witch? Have fun. Yes, it's too early, try it first. But most likely it will be a hard pass for me again and I will return back to my Sunbreaker or Sentinel after having run through the unavoidable mission parts in Lightfall. Titans are a strong class. But with regards to Supers I believe Titans always get the worst. Congratulations to Warlocks and Hunters, looks like again they will be dominating the battle field.

2 RepliesOn one hand I'm gutted for Titans strand but on the other considering just how op Arc Titan has been and is this season I'm like good job. Only way something would compete with Titan's arc kit would be for something entirely new and way op to even come close. But yeah, I feel for them in regards to how un-imaginative it seems.

5 RepliesTotally agree, it seemed like it was going that way even from the initial reveal with the blade hands and such. As a Hunter main, I am pleased that Hunters seem to finally get their very first roaming third person projectile (sort of) based super. However my preference is one and done type supers. Warlocks seem ok, and hopefully their super becomes a strong blade barrage like dps option. And then theres titans getting the short end of the stick again, and it may very well hurt their usage for the upcoming raid. Titans have only 2 one and done supers, warlocks have 3 if you include mean beam and maybe soon to be 4, Hunters have 4. Titans need more variety for sure.
