7 Engrams For Legacy Gear Is Way Too Much
Title. Especially for Trials. I want the exile armor sets on my titan and warlock, but the amount of time it would take at 7 engrams a piece is so brutal, I probably won't even attempt it.
Calling it rn: the cost is this high at the start because there will always be those players who don't complain or complain and do it anyways, but once those people get their gear, Bungie will substantially lower the cost so that there's a renewed interest in getting the armor for everyone else. It seems to be their new "pursuit" design philosophy.

Everyone is that hungry for the exile set "finally" returning that they will just grind it out and give them free playtime to show bungies investors how popular and great the game is. Bungie literally designs their entire game as a time sink these days. Just value your players time for once ffs. Same thing with the deep stone crypt deepsight weapon drop rates. They literally know what they are doing when they make everything extremely grindy. They know ppl will grind it out. Then they pull a little "oops we saw some complaints that drop rates are too low, heres better drop rates". Do that once and i will call it a mistake. Do it twice, i will say "come tf on". Bungie has done it 50 times. What is there to say anymore. They are min maxing with our valuable lifetime and keep wasting it intentionally. This company is trash these days.
