Hi there. Accounts cannot be unlinked while a Cross Save is active. To unlink an account you must deactivate Cross Save, which requires authenticating the login credentials of each account linked to your profile.
Bungie does not have access to any account credential information, so if you can't authenticate the Xbox account, you will need to contact Xbox Support to see if they can do anything.

I contacted Microsoft they said I'd have to contact bungie :/

Under no circumstances will Bungie forcefully unlink or remove an account. Unfortunately if you can't gain access with the correct login or contact the owner of the account and get them to help, your Cross Save will remain as it is.
