Obnoxious “carry for sale” messages

For the last week I had gotten 6 (and counting) messages advertising “carry services” where you pay for help. If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t this an issue that Bungie was trying to prevent and negate? I think it’s really annoying that all I get in my Bungie mail box are these types of messages! I report, block, and leave the conversations but another just comes in it’s place and the process is being repeated. Every time I’ve went to the “persons” profile (to block the account) they have one low level guardian which just means they are a bot account only meant to advertise this service. On top of this some lfg postings are still advertising these services as well! I don’t know how you can prevent this really but, since Bungie has mentioned cracking down on these advertisements in the past, there must be something they can do.

Actually, there’s an opportunity to make good out the paid carry vendors… 1. BHQ to issue a license to a) players and b) groups, to offer / provide such services. 2. BHQ splits the license fee 50:50 with a preferred charity and their own coffers - to aid game development. 3. BHQ creates a dedicated space where regular players can peruse / safely purchase such services. 4. BHQ to provide regular reports on results obtained. 5. Rates will be determined by market forces…thigh for an introductory period of say, 7 days, BHQ can set a range of rates, as deemed appropriate…as they have a very good grasp of bean counting. Who Benefits? A. Top tier players who can now help less skilled players obtain gear/weapons from previously unobtainable sources. B. Charities. C. Time-challenged or otherwise challenged players who can now legitimately use such services without the dangers of exposing themselves / their accounts to predators. D. Everyone - as such services are now destigmatised and legitimate; and it helps players play the way they want, and to get loot and stuff; and gives an outlet for individual players / clans / groups - to generate an income stream. E. BHQ - with another income stream, and the positive vibes generated by vendors / clients; and it removes a thorn in everyone’s side in an instant. FWIW: I’ve seen the growing number of ‘Carry / Booster’ sites, now their adverts appear on many popular Destiny U-tuber sites. They’re hard to miss. As are the ones for modded controllers - y’all know ‘em… How the ‘paid carry’ spam msgs make it on LFG is a wonder to me?! They are a nuisance…and yet, there they be?! I don’t buy in game ‘silver’ and I won’t either*…mainly due to my negative relationship with BHQs ‘MisManagement’ and their mishandling of the Destiny franchise going way back to the early days. I have no issues with the rank and file employees. That said… There are a few things I’d like to add to my armoury, but as I don’t / won’t suffer the ridiculous levels of grind to obtain such, it ain’t going to happen, eg, Divinity / Thousand Voices / EoT / VoG loot / etc. Though, I might well be tempted to support such services via a legitimate and approved option, as outlined above…because it’s a win:win for all! TLDR: 🥳 Anyhoo, just my 2d worth… Cheers! MDGA 👈 *Edited to add this nice update: Oddly enough, I just did buy some 'Silver'; to support a charitable cause, i.e., the 'best pal' dog emote, which was not available--for I did search BHQ webpage and couldn't find any-- for a direct CC purchase other than via 'in game' 'silver'. I have no issue with this; and I'm happy to do it again, as desired. Cheers!
