BSOD nvlddmkm.sys [SOLVED]

Kind of at the end of my rope here, would really appreciate any insight. [THE PROBLEM] Destiny runs fine most of the time, but with a certain Strike (The Corrupted in The Dreaming City), and maybe certain effects, it will BSOD and give me the VIDEO TDR FAILURE message. It seems random at times, and consistent at other times. For example, The Corrupted strike seems to crash me 100% of the time once I go into the dream world or taken dimension or whatever it is. However, it's not guaranteed to crash right away. Sometimes it lets me get all the way to the boss or even further before crashing, and sometimes it crashes shortly after the first drop into the first encounter with the taken in the other dimension. It also seems to crash when I look into the Prismatic Recaster hole? That one is definitely one of the less consistent but it's happened twice in a row now. I'm almost wondering if it's a specific graphics effect that's causing the BSOD at this point. [WHAT I'VE TRIED] - Reinstalled with latest Nvidia drivers (using DDU safe mode method) - New PSU (Old one was 10 years old, I was thinking it was giving inconsistent voltage) - Reinstalled Windows - Re-seating RAM - Re-seating GPU [LOGS] https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bZCyNQ73NiHE-aiJkIqmc1lJpKL9aPgx?usp=sharing Thanks in advance for any help!

  • [SOLVED] So after hours of messing with video settings, I finally isolated the issue. Having VSync off was causing the crashes. Turning VSync to the 60FPS value seems to have fixed the issue completely. It hurts my soul to have less than 120 fps but it's a price to pay for the game to run properly. I don't know if anyone else out there has this issue but I hope this helps.

    •
- New PSU (Old one was 10 years old, I was thinking it was giving inconsistent voltage)
if psu was 10 years old, what is the age of the rest of the components? in my experience BSOD is almost always a hardware failure of some type usually related to overheating.
