It’s fair. Sometimes you will get good teammates, and other times you will get potatoes. As long as you have reasonable expectations, you will have a good time. I see a lot of people with .5 KDs complaining about the matchmaking, but trials is supposed to be an end game activity.

Edited by Savathûn's Thong: 10/25/2021 5:56:51 AMI didn't know expecting to be matched up with teammates who at least know the basic rules for Trials was "unreasonable". Btw, I had close to a 1.1 KD for this season before this week started. Now I'm down to 1.05 or something.

I do agree with you, it shouldn't be unreasonable for you to expect what you do - but you have to be realistic. Sorry

Edited by Interpol89: 10/25/2021 6:02:51 AMI have gone solo flawless twice, and also with a team twice. When I had communication with my teammates, it was way easier. I’m not saying that you’re a bad player, but you will have to carry your teammates at some point, if you expect to do it as a solo.

Edited by Savathûn's Thong: 10/25/2021 6:06:01 AMI'm not talking about flawless, just at least good games. There were multiple games where my teammates just rush in and die, when no pick was made. It's frustrating. Just checked my stats: I've had 10 wins and 20 losses this week, mostly in freelance. That should not be happening if everyone is on the same playing field, as in not having comms advantage.

Edited by Good7tuff: 10/25/2021 1:57:35 PMSo essentially what you’re describing is not a problem with Trials per se, but with dumb or self-centered players. Not low-skilled ones, but the ones who enter a team-based activity and stay AFK or kill themselves immediately, or just do whatever. I remember playing NF with a friend, and we got matched with a guy, who skipped all the enemies and ran towards the next area - the strike was on Nessus, so you couldn’t advance before killing all the mobs - and this dude just sat next to the barrier of the area and waited til we deal with the mobs (even though he was pretty much in the same area with the mobs). I told my friend to stop as soon as I noticed it, so we sat and watched how he gets surrounded. Once he noticed we’re not actually killing anyone for him, the guy left. Like how much of an assh*le do you need to be? So as long as there are players who don’t give two sh*ts about the people they team up with, we’ll be getting problematic matches, whether it’s strikes, Crucible or Trials. Frankly, looking at the D2 community in general, I don’t see it ever going away.
