Wouldn't sbmm make recoveries even easier?
Just log onto an account with bad stats and you end up playing against only bad players for easy wins.

I could definitely see this as a problem

It also makes them unnecessary though. If you're capable of winning because people are at your skill why would you pay someone else to do it for you?

Wouldn't they still be sweaty matches though? If you're playing against people at your skill level, who are also trying to win. It'd not gonna be easy

The point isn't to make it easy it's to make it feasible for people to succeed. I don't see where you all are coming from the idea that SBMM makes things easy. Yes it would be easier because you're not constantly getting matched against 3 stack 150x flawless people with 1.6 kd. It wouldn't remove the challenge and I don't want the challenge gone. I want it to be feasible for people to be able to get loot in a the game without being practically required to pay the 5% of players who can carry easily.

It should already be feasible though. Most players aren't that good And should be around the same skill level. So unless you live next to a streamer house or you're at the very bottom in terms of skill this shouldn't be a massive issue

Trials isn't region locked or even really connection based. (I've played entire teams of red bars that teleported around the map and wouldn't take damage.) Also the fact that trials is flooded by the top 5% of players in pvp that practically gatekeep (not intentionally all the time mostly for getting different rolls on guns) so skill wise you're playing these players. In a game without dedicated servers and sbmm this is a death sentence for players. Shot registration in this game is terrible. Ghost bullets still exist. Damage glitch still exists. Red bars are nigh impossible to kill due to the teleportation. On top of all this there are also hackers. Not trying to be a d!ck to Bungie but a game with this many problems in a pvp based mode honestly shouldn't host competitive formats until the issues that are within their control are fixed but they brought back trials anyways. Now it's a toxic atmosphere of exploitation, cheating, and shear disrespect for other parts of the community.

You make a fair point
