Failed to download configuration files from bungie servers. Error code nightingale
-
Edited by lmh911: 10/29/2020 1:40:59 PMThe Nightingale error is tied directly to comcast network users. During this time one of the solutions is just to connect to a wireless hotspot. Until Comcast fixes the issue with downloading the config files Comcast users will have to play with a mobile hotspot.

well i just put in order for new laptop and RAM hopefully i can play tomorrow i got next day shipping

Same issue in Eugene, OR. Apparently it’s a Comcast issue.
-
The error is tied to Comcast subscribers, i tried to log on to no avail, then connected my phone to my PS4 using the mobile Hotspot feature. I'm playing now

Also have Nightingale. Vancouver, WA. Comcast ISP. (For those that dont know, thats just north of Portland.) I was able to be on most of the day. Logged to take a break, and couldnt connect again. DIM was also having issues updating. Ive also noticed that some websites (steam, bungie, a few others) are taking their sweet time to load, while others are just fine. Might be of note that i have gig internet too, so I notice when a website is slow. Did all the regular network stuff. Called them even and they said there are no outages. Downdetector says otherwise. Our area is a nice blob of red on the comcast map. Oh and I even reinstalled. Still didnt work. Just a heads up there, especially if you have slower internet. My advice, dont do anything drastic tonight. Give it an hour and check again. Maybe its a comcast thing. Maybe its a D2 server in our area. Go play some pokemon and do some dynamax adventures and come back in awhile. lol (side note, we should start a PNW clan with how many of us are located around here! lol) (side side note, sorry for the double post. Didnt realize I replied to a comment. Hopefully more see this now.)

Same problem. Albany, Oregon

Any update on this? I have tried everything and still can not play. I am hard wired, So Idk
-
Same issue here. Vancouver, WA - Comcast. Anyone in the PNW having this same issue but with a different ISP?
-
I am in Eugene Oregon with Comcast and I have been shut out of Destiny-ville all day with the Nightingale error code. So far I have followed all of the steps listed on the bungie help page (cleared cache by unplugging PS4 for more than five minutes, deleted Destiny 2 and then waited almost four hours to re-download the 100 gigs that Destiny 2 needs only to receive more 'Nightingale' error messages. Ugh. Can an error like this be limited to a specific internet provider in a local area? (Destiny 2 players in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington states)??

Hey there! I have just checked Down Detector and there may be possible problems as of now. In the mean time, I would suggest to clear your console cache and reboot your router to see if that helps resolve your issue. https://downdetector.com/status/destiny/

Portland Or... got the nightingale as well (PS4). Cleared cashe, reloaded game, reset router (hardwired). Got the ixfinity broadband... hrph. Out all day, played till 5am last night, no problems. Just got the game on Sunday. Oh well, Fallout 76.... here I come. At least Bethesda has got its act together. 😂😂😂

It is most definitely a comcast issue; I just connected to my phones hotspot and I get in just fine.

Salem, Oregon - Comcast ISP - I have cleared the DNS records on my router, cleared cache on ps4, uninstalled and reinstalled the game: still have nightingale :( guess I play another game :(
-
Same problem in Springfield oregon

Same here in Portland, OR. I think it is at least somewhat on Comcast's side; certain sites aren't loading completely in addition to the Nightingale error. Facebook, for example, is having a hard time loading images and pages. Conversely, Netflix and Youtube are doing just fine and I'm able to play Among Us with no issues.

Edited by RUFIORUFIO: 10/29/2020 1:40:46 AMYeah I'm also getting Nightingale... I'm in Salem, Oregon.. please fix!

I'm in Vancouver, WA and I too have this issue on PC. I've noticed an influx of error codes since Season of Arrivals started, in particular Baboon happens every 45 minutes or so while playing.
-
Also have Nightingale errors on PC now, Portland Oregon area.

Edited by Penknife13: 10/28/2020 11:25:25 PMGetting the same issue. Located in Portland Oregon. I am also hard wired. Have cleared cache. Restarted modem and console. After hearing multiple reports that the same issue is being experienced I’m not inclined to think that it is and issue with my hardware.

I had this same issue. I solved it by connecting to a wireless hotspot, logging into the game, then re-connecting to my wireless network.
