Edited by Swiftlock: 10/27/2020 7:01:41 PMThe Saw films will always be the guilty pleasure horror flicks for me.

... The Thing is the only genuinely horror movie that scared me...
not included in the DLC
Molon Labe Domari Nolo - old
There's always the classic Alien. Special effects back then were kinda cheesy but otherwise it's a good movie. -
Every horror movie I've seen sucks. I've stopped trying at this point. Horror movies are probably the weakest of any horror art.

Edited by nonipow: 10/28/2020 7:02:20 PMA Quiet Place was pretty good.

Hereditary The Thing Train to Busan
I think that's what it's called
I like the Conjuring and Conjuring 2, There was another one I had in mind but I don't remember the name...

It is pretty good -
Hereditary The Witch Sinister Insidious

I just watched both Sinister and Insidious. They were pretty good as far as horror movies go. Room 1408 was also okay.

I'm not really into horror movies, I get nothing out of the genre. So I prefer my spooky movies to be a bit silly. So my picks are: Beetlejuice The Frighteners

silence of the lambs if that counts

Edited by Psyntifik: 10/27/2020 9:17:36 AMREC The Witch Lake Mungo The Fourth Kind Signs A Serbian Film also isn't horror. It doesn't even fall into that horror-thriller bkend like some films.

The Thing is by far the best horror movie ever made. But since you've already seen it, I'll instead recommend some more underrated horror films: The Transfiguration is a subversive vampire movie that aims to make the creatures more realistic. The characters in the movie are pretty flat, but it's an interesting watch nonetheless. 9 is a post apocalyptic sci-fi/dark fantasy about a bunch of sentient puppets trying to recover their creator's soul... while avoiding disturbing hybrid monsters made out of spare parts. Also they're not really horror movies, but A Ghost Story and I'm Thinking of Ending Things are both excellent, subversive "horror" movies that offer a sort of existential fear rather than more traditional kinds of fear.

I’m not a big fan of horror movies, but I really love Coraline! I’m gonna watch 9 on Halloween, though I think that one’s not actually a horror movie, just a spooky one.
-
For recents I absolutely loved The Autopsy of Jane Doe. The first two-thirds of the movie was really good, and the ending was alright.

The OG Halloween

You won't be the same. I'd recommend watching a review of it, not the whole movie.

Oh! And Beetlejuice!
