Error code Chicken
I had a few error codes of chicken happen earlier today but eventually I was able to get into the game. But unfortunately the game was not working right. There would be random freezes and whenever I would load into something the screen would either be black and wouldn’t let me play and have restart the game or I’d have to wait a long time to get in. I could hear the sound of me spawning in and the environment but it didn’t show on my screen my character loading in yet nor the activity, the screen was just black. Things are freezing and loading times are wack but it’s not lag. I haven’t had any rubber banding once. If someone could help me with this that would be great.
I have a wired connection, I’ve tried clearing the steam cache, I’ve tried verifying integrity of game files for destiny 2, I’ve reinstalled destiny 2, I’ve tried power cycling my router, and it’s still not working. No background applications or processes are messing this up either i can tell because none are taking up a big part of my CPU and I’m not having anything on that would affect it. No Spotify, no browser tabs, nothing.

I have been having a chicken problem for a month or so on PS4. Some nights I can get on after 6 or 8 chickens. Some nights I can't get on at all. I followed the instructions in the help articles. I even bought a 50 ft cable to get a wired connection. My fiber-optic internet numbers are great. I don't think the problem is with us; something is wrong on Bungie's end. Been playing since D1 beta, but I will not purchase Beyond Light unless Bungie fixes their game. It is frustrating.

1 ReplyIf you look in the Error Codes section of the help forum since the past week or so there has been an influx of people reporting chicken errors but there has been no comment on it by bungie so take it as you will. That being said see if launching the game as fast as possible after restarting your pc does anything for you, as its helped me, if i wait and launch my game chicken blocks me but if I launch it right always it works. Though the initial loading on inventory, map, area, etc all give micro freezes for a few seconds. I haven't been able to get any help outside of the generic chicken article which is not useful.
