Getting terrible connections in crucible

Playing on Xbox One X. Wired connection. Detailed network statistic: Download speed 302 Mbps Upload speed 4.31 Mbps Packet loss: 0 % MTU: 1480 Latency 48 ms NAT: Open Connection bar in game reading 1/5th to 1/3rd Players teleporting and lagging everywhere. I have hard reset my Xbox, modem, and router multiple times. Not helping. I live in Minneapolis. Even just sitting in orbit connection bar is reading 1/5th

  • Still unplayable for me too. I've reset all of my equipment too. Nothing helps. ISP checked my connection, and there was nothing wrong with the connection. I've never experienced the network this bad before the Festival of the Lost.

  • Hi. Thanks for your report. This sounds like a connection issue of some kind is occurring, and could be an internet service provider issue. Below are suggestions that may help with your issue:
1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi 2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming 3. Clear your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files. 4. Power cycle your internet router 5. Improve your latency and packet loss 6. Follow our Network Troubleshooting Guide for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try our Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP or changing your NAT type. 7. Enable IPV6 on your router to see if that helps
• Given the difference between your Down and Up speed I'm guessing you're on a half duplex connection? If that's the case that could be at least part of the problem, gaming on half duplex is generally not great. Especially not if you use voice chat at the same time.

  • i got pulled to orbit like 3-4 times in one day this week from crucibel. at some point i was afraid i was going to be banned. i got similar problems in the past...and i talked to other players and they did to. so dont bother...99% of times its from their servers. if u make a post someone will ask you like 10 questions about your hardware and internet connection and after that they will reply with something like " that shouldnt happend" or "maby its your provider" and life goese on.

Yeah it’s been really bad for the past 2 weeks, what I’ve found helped a decent amount was turning off the Upnp on your router, it’ll say you have moderate NAT on your Xbox but the hit registration becomes decent and lagginess of other players goes down a lot. Someone somewhere released a update that doesn't play well with either destiny or peoples router/equipment. I used to constantly be in 10-20ms latency range, and one day it jumped up to the low-mid 50s, and it shows.
