How is poor matchmaking still a thing?!

How far into the 10 year plan do we need to be until matchmaking is balanced? I'm not talking about SBMM or CBMM.. I'm talking about pitting pre made firetrams against solo queue players. Which actually sucks to say because I know it's fun playing with friends and clan mates, we play together when possible and I don't consider us to be "stacked" because we don't hold each other's hands. We have fun, We have a laugh, we win some and we lose some. But when I solo queue later at night when my friends aren't online I notice the enemy team is often a pre made fireteam, whether it's a clan or not. Tonight is the perfect example of poor matchmaking. My last 3 games on my warlock were against a 4 and 2 clan group. After inspecting them, I saw they were actually in the same fireteam. All 6 together. Like I said that's fine, it's actually cool, but ffs pit them against another fireteam!! To compound this further, they obviously got together to reduce the enjoyment of others. By this I mean they were all running sweaty loadouts, not forgottens, jotunn and other weapons considered meta or cheesy no skill weapkns, which again is fine, they're there, use them if you have them... but to stack on each other with all this to stomp solo players is kinda pathetic and how can that be fun unless you need your ego stroked? What I'm saying is, matchmaking is not balanced, I'm not hating on anyone in particular, just the way the game pits people against each other that are clearly playing for different reasons. I'd like to know what you think in a constructive way.
