Bungie, adjust hunters cooldowns, its getting silly

So with the recent changes to stats, we now have hunters using their dodge every 9 seconds or so. That means Dragon shadow buff is permanent, Wormusk is saving them every engagement, they have almost unlimited melee and dodge abilities right now, they can troll you with Jesters every time, and bomb you every nine seconds. Everything that is tied to do dodge is just insane. That is on top of being the most mobile class, with the best mobility, the fastest class, best in PvP and decent in PvE. Hunters are now everywhere. They had the best class ability before, but now its just silly. To make the matters worse, you can just abuse new "powerful friends" mod, that gives +20! mobility, and gain 100 with relative ease. Bungie, can you explain the reasoning behind it? Hunters were great before this buff, now they are dominating everything PvP related. Did the most played class, that had a ton of success in PvP, had the best neutral game, good supers, in dire need of this buff? Clearly both dragon shadow and wormhusk were not designed to be available every engagement. There were not meant to have 100% uptime, like they have now. Surely you could get something similar before with many paragon mods, but you had to sacrifice a lot of other stats. Now you just get that for free when you max out mobility. You can now have both 100 mobility and 100 recovery. Its hard, but its doable. Or just have 50 mobility and use Dragons shadow. When you compare what is available to hunters right now, and the position they are in - its clear that other classes have disadvantage when compared to them. Hunters get to be mobile, can cheat cooldowns, can literally evade death (hello wormhusk) every fight, and everyone else has to rely on OHK gimmicks (like HHSN), or broken exotics (like OEM) to even stay relevant. So can we please adjust the hunters, and at least give Warlocks normal melee speed, and have some semblance of balance in PvP?

    Why aren’t you complaining about the 5 second double dodge cool down for a warlock not hunters? Edit: ah I see because you’re a warlock main 🤦‍♂️

      • You guys get your cheese abilities also so don't cry about the only good thing hunters have You have supers that lasts for ever with tracking and range , handheld, shoulder charge, rifts, and walls that are much more annoying than a single meme dodge that will not even save you from the headshot snipe So please quit crying

      • Every other class has had OHK abilities for the longest time but as soon as hunters get something powerful the Titans and Warlocks break out the pitchforks and torches.

      • I love that warlocks and titians have had OHK abilities forever, and hunters were given the ole, "but you have too much mobility" bullshit for years. Sure, yeah hunters can dodge, titans' mele range is literally a mile, and you don't ever hear hunters screaming for those things to be nerfed. Warlocks and sit in a rift and heal all day long. But.....hunters can jump higher and dodge and somehow they are the problem? Right.......

        • this is how it will always be unfortunately, ever since d1 I remember hunters being the underdog class and now history is kind of repeating itself we get a ohk knife on one class which I'm happy for hunters to have now people are saying to take it out. we get dodge back in 10.5 seconds an ability at base that reloads your weapon or grants melee energy in proximity to an enemy. needs to be put in line... I don't feel like it's the core ability that is the issue it's the creativity of the people utilizing it and pairing it with coincidentally a pretty powerful artifact perk, getting an overshield and the ability to survive some decent light arms fire with worm husk as well is annoying yes, but is it really worth whining over? not rly, based on the amount of stuff I see people complain about on these forums a dodge seems like the least of your unoriginal jabs at abilities YOU find problematic.

          • Unfortunately the majority of the player base mains hunters, therefore itll never be the majority decision to nerf any hunter aspect.

            They ruined comp with this. I don’t mind invis because of the obvious sound queue and they still stick out like a sore thumb. It’s the dumb ass “void battery” WHY IS THIS A THING!!!!!!! You give a person Invis, health regen(wormhusk), and they can’t be killed while dodging. How is this balanced in any way? I’m a hunter main and I can’t stand the people that use this setup

            • They need a blanket nerf to just about everything. Remove triple jump air dominane. If they do bring back trials in this current state it's literally going to be like 100% Hunters

              • Thank you, someone in this community who can say hunters are busted atm, I’m in awe how an entire community seems to think hunters are the weakest class in PVP, it honestly amazes me

                    • No, hunters are exactly what they are supposed to be now. Now double titan resilience/ grenade recovery, and make warlocks recover their super/class ability twice as fast and we can have real distinct classes.

                    • If you play all three classes regularly you’ll know that while hunters are good, there’s nothing OP about them. If you know the game well you can beat any class on any class. You can nerf whatever, but you’ll still die because you’re not losing due to Hunter dodge or whatever. You’re losing because you’re not good enough. Start playing Hunter for a while, not just a few Crucible matches, but really playing. Play some comp, spend a couple weeks maining one. You’ll see that your kdr will be virtually the same. There’s nothing OP in class abilities rn. You can ask for whatever nerfs you want, but even if they happen you won’t do any better. You’ll still get out played.

                        Hunters aren't the fastest class. Titans and Warlocks outpace them easily on the xy plane, simply because their jumps are momentum based or provide some sort of boosts; hunters don't. This allows Titans and Warlocks to bait corners and create gaps along that plane far more effectively than hunters. However, with the current sandbox, hunters being the king of the z axis on terms of the speed of the jump (time from ground to max height) and control, they're the best. But that's doesn't mean the other classes aren't relevant. Most people I see struggling on Titan are struggling because they're trying to play a Titan like a Hunter, rather than playing to the strengths of the class. Anyways, to the nerf cooldowns thing, no. The only benefits it provides outside of exotics are forms of maneuverability. It needs a small cooldown if Hunters choose to max their mobility. Want to know the counter to several of those exotics you mentioned is? Rapidly create space between you and the hunter along the xy plane. And guess what? Titans and Warlocks are best at that.

                          • dont use wormhusk in an argument against hunters, especially in pvp. it restores the health of one bullet. one shot from most weapons' range. most semi-auto kinetics (excluding sidearms) have a ttk of less than three seconds if you can aim; and any special weapon has the capacity to kill an opponent in one blow. them recovering from the damage of one shot while being trapped in an animation that doesnt even change their hitbox is not going to give them much of an edge, especially since you can still shoot them [i]while they're dodging with no damage resistance[/i]. if wormhusk was pre-nerf, restoring half a health bar and triggering your regen, then yes, itd be a pain in the ass, but from the sounds of things you just need to git gud and quit whining.

So can we please adjust the hunters, and at least give Warlocks normal melee speed, and have some semblance of balance in PvP?[/quote] Dude serious, this was my complaint and the top post I found, I built my hunter up with all paragon mods then after building my warlock I signed back into my hunter to find out all paragon mods were taken away, I miss having complete dodge ability in mayhem and dodge ability every 13 seconds in regular gameplay. But what has been done with the hunters is bs! All crucible is, is hunters dodging with invisibility. And I haven’t read this but I feel that “HUNTER INVISIBILITY ” is beyond invisible now, there is literally no blur or anyway way to identify moving objects now and crucible gameplay is moving southward because of this. Maybe it’s an exotic, or at least make the invisible perk back to normal where even through dodging I at least see a blur,,,, not complete invisible for 5 seconds and 1 second of a blur before u get shot gunned. I can’t be the only one noticing this, it’s beyond unbalanced. I feel that this is almost on par with the Prometheus lens bs before adjustments, if you don’t fix this fine but can you at least add a GAMEMODE for class picks, like hunters only or WARLOCKS ONLY PVP

                            • Realistically all they need to do is increase the max cooldown on the dodge to 15 seconds, and the Titan barricade needs to be increased from 25 to 33. Problem solved.

                            • you know mobility is the same speed on every class. If I have a warlock with 80 mobility and a hunter with 80 and no lightweight or mobility boosting gear, they both run straight ahead, they will arrive at their destination at the same time. Hunters do have abilities depending on the class they use, to boost mobility by like 20 without having to use higher tier armor (keen scout, focused breathing), but they don't stack if you already have maxed mobility. So good if you normally run low mobility, but if you're trying to max and you're using say a lightweight on bottom strider (I believe those 2 stack) and you already have 80 mobility, they one of those buffs just cancels out and it's a waste

                              If Hunter ability cooldown is so problematic then so is handheld super nova. One hit grenades that can be on a 30 second cool down. Now I don't like to advocate for nerfs, but these forums get ridiculous. If you want to be back in D2Y1 then go play a different game.

                              • it takes a lot of grinding to get your stats perfected so a player can have said cooldowns, now you want to nerf the entire class? nerfing is never the awnser, especially when your asking bungie..
