Sorry but you're wrong on this one Chief, it's not my responsibility to babysit you through a raid when i just want to get it done quickly and get my pinnacle gear, back in the day when i didn't know how to raid i watched videos and i joined an LFG that was running a levi, i was honest with that LFG and told them that i watched videos but never actually ran the raid, they were more than happy to take me through and i was able to hold my own because of the vids i watched, that LFG became my current clan and I've been raiding with those same guys going on 2 years now. Take some initiative and watch some raid guides, and then be honest about your knowledge with LFG and you will find a group that is willing to help, not trying to sound harsh here but that's the reality of it.

  • I agree with the "be honest" part when joining LFG's. For a bunch of LFG activities that I needed help in, I was honest with the fact that I had never done the activity before, but have watched videos, and it may take me a few tries to get there. The people I joined were more than helpful once you tell them you have never done something, even if you haven't watched a video. I have literally done 3 raids in D2, all with my old clan (no, i am not a big raider). My first raid, being Last Wish about 2 years ago, cant remember exactly how long ago it was, really. Anyway, it was right after joining my old clan, I had asked if some could help me, and I was very clear that it was my first time, that I had only watched one full play through video, and would need some time to learn. They were more than happy to help. We completed it. I had since completed the Leviathan and Scourge of the Past raid with this clan as well, both times, being all of our first time with these raids. Each of those raids, we had about 2 people from LFG join as others would have to leave. Each time an LFG person joined, before starting, we would all explain that we are new to the raid. Leviathan we were familiar with from videos. Scourge, we all went in blind. Sometimes LFG people seem a bit hesitant when joining, but as soon as were explained that we were new, and needed help, their whole attitude changes, and most of the time, they are really helpful and patient. Some people aren't, and will leave, we would just wait until a person who was willing to help, and we would proceed. Same with missions like Whisper and Zero Hour. Just be honest about what it is you need help with and you're knowledge of the mission, and people for the most part, are more than willing to help, and will even invite you to their clan or send you a friend request.
