You cannot make any changes to your linked accounts while cross-save is active. You will need to deactivate cross-save, unlink & delink accounts as needed, and wait out the 90 day cooldown. There is no other option when needing to change accounts, and no bypass for the cooldown.

That's preposterous! 90 days is a really -blam!-ing long time. I'll just drop the game altogether. Thank you for the info.

You agreed to Bungie’s terms when you went ahead with activating cross-save. The info in the FAQ on the main cross-save page, clearly stated that there would be a 90 day cooldown period upon deactivation. You were also warned of this during the activation process. You linked the incorrect account during the setup, and rather than correcting the mistake, you opted to continue with the activation. Bungie is not at fault for your mistake. They put out the instructions, and the information on the feature. They cannot control what players do with their accounts, and what info they input. If you wish to leave the game due to your own mistake, nobody is going to stop you. Just accept that you neglected to read up on the restrictions and limitations before proceeding with activation, and then failed to properly link your own info.

I knew all of that and due to the accounts having very similar usernames I didn't really see that and even wondered where the character I had created on ps4 was. If I have to wait three months for something so menial I can only imagine how they treat any other issues. I know player abuse is something that needs to be dealt with but this wasn't it.
