So an idea was presented to me through a game called Runescape. In this game there is an item called a Safekeep key. Using this key allows you to turn any item you want into a cosmetic override. Now that shadow keep has dropped, it would be neat to see a feature similar to this. Understanding how bungie markets cosmetics, I would assume this item would be a purchase able item from the store but it would be a neat way to use you favorite armor designs over top armor that has the rolls you want. My main push for this was my grinding for raid armors. It took me a long time to get the full armor set from Crown of Sorrows as the chest wouldn’t drop. I enjoyed the cosmetics of this set but with the armor 2.0, I’d have to grind Crown of Sorrows again. If this is something people would be interested in, I could see bungie making a bit of money off of it and people could use the armors they like. Tl;dr : item from the store that allows you to make any armor piece an ornament.
