Hey Guardians! One of your fellow comrades is caught in purgatory... I was really excited to explore the Shadowkeep on launch with all of you, but as it stands, there was a little oversight in the character transfer system that's keeping me from joining you! As the cross-play and account linking process is still fairly undocumented, there was some information that wasn't stated that I have come across, and am currently struggling with! As it clearly states in the crossplay function, once unlinked, you have to wait 90 days to relink it again. This is all well and good, and I linked my PS4 characters to PC. However, as I had the game on Battlenet, I then went to transfer the credentials from that to Steam aswell. This is where my problem lies. For some reason, the system does not allow you to transfer in this way with crossplay enabled. It forced me to unlink crossplay to transfer my Battlenet to Steam, and as we all know, initiated the 90-day timer on crossplay. Now for the next 3 MONTHS, I am forced to make one of three choices. I have to either wait out the timer for 90 days, while watching all my friends play and enjoy the game without me, OR buy Shadowkeep for my PS4, again not being able to play with friends, and making it so I have to purchase it twice (once on PS4, and other after the 90 days for PC), OR I can buy it once on Steam, but have to wait 90 days to actually progress on my characters, and essentially junk my PC characters once the timer is up (and still not play with my friends as they are much higher level and light). If anyone at Bungie, our wonderful and fearless leaders, is seeing this, PLEASE HELP! I really want to play your game, and would love to work with you to fix this! Else, if you are another patron like myself, is there any way to bypass this or fix anything? I'm so excited to join you all ingame, but as I'm stuck with no obvious way to go (possibly in a Taken void?), I need your help and guidance! Thank you!
