Players like balanced, consistent experiences when they're playing PVP. Heavy ammo should never be a match decider because heavy weapons are too damn strong. It's near impossible to outplay them against an equally skilled player. Heavy ammo spawns should only serve as momentum breakers a couple of times a match/in one round of competitive. When heavy ammo is up we should know it's coming every time. Heavy ammo should be a fun bit of chaos in every match to tie in the power fantasy of Destiny... Not something that we have to constantly fear which is more tedious than fun. Too much heavy ammo going around is like a gloomy cloud hanging over the game that just makes the experience feel dumber. When new players come to play and they complain about how dumb heavy is after I tried so hard to convince them to give Destiny a go, I have to say "Yeah thats the one thing Bungie just refuses to get right that we put up with". It's just embarrassing for me, as a player who cares so much about this franchise, to see such a faulty gimmick plague PVP after Bungie claimed 'heavy was being adjusted because of feedback'. Idk what feedback you were listening to because it definitely wasn't from the people who play a lot of PVP. Sorry Bungie, I hate to be so negative but this is very frustrating. You're so close to having a tight PVP game on your hands but you keep beating around the real issues. People never complained about heavy because they weren't getting it... They were complaining about it because it was such a common thing to die to.
How about it's like Cod where you go on kill streaks and are rewarded with heavy ammo? Like a 5 kill streak is 1.2 kill's worth of heavy ammo, 10x 2.2 kill's worth, and a We Ran out of Medals gives you the equivalent of a full Thunderlord magazine.
