Discuss all things Destiny 2.

I really wish each dlc continued to expand its loot content even after it's over.

One of the things I liked most about black armory was the reskinning of some year 1 guns into year 2 variants but more so towards the forge weapons. It's far more consistent with farming and it doesn't take long to do. Tedious with the Ada step, but manageable. Although not exactly what I'm asking for its certainly a nice addition and adds a little more to the loot table. One of my biggest gripes with Destiny, particularly it's paid dlc, is the general lack of large scale loot being added into the game. With forsaken, most weapon types got at least 1 variant for each archetype, which isn't a bad thing, but it certainly is shallow especially when you want to explore more options. Something I never quite understood (besides the cost obviously) is why they don't just continue to put out guns. In terms of the tangled shore, there are still a large variety of archetypes that could use a skin or variant for that area, the same thing with the dreaming city. With the dreaming city, it's got the special loot that drops as well as ones from the raids. But imagine if instead of just stopping there, they continued to add weapons to the raid, to the patrols, to keep them valuable. They could even just be excluded from the lore and be considered something like ER (extra rewards) like faction rallies were. Like I said with black armory above, I like how they brought back some year 1 guns in year 2 form, but I don't like how the new designs like ringing nail, kind of just stopped. They could keep the community so much more occupied if SOMETHING was added to make those activities stay relevant over time. Every month, they could add 1 new black armory frame, 1 new dreaming city weapon, and 1 new tangled shore/general loot pool weapon into the game. This would add some level of desire to want to go back and continue doing these activities, as well as consistently expanding the loot pool. It would certainly be costly for bungie, but this game needs more loot to keep it relevant as it's starting to get boring even though season of the forge is supposed to last till season of the drifter. It's been what, 3-4 weeks since any black armory specific gear has released and the only thing close to new content was a bland event and a single Destiny 1 exotic? I just don't even care to do anything other than milestones and messing around in crucible because everything else has no value to me anymore. Of course I put in a tremendous amount of time into the game to get where I'm at, but it just feels bland at this point. I want more to keep me occupied and I'm sure a bunch of other people do too. I'm not saying that they should or "I quit," none of that bullshit, but I've got nothing I care to do at this point and I'm playing it far far less than I would 5-9 weeks ago. At least something like this, even if it's not a weapon type I care for, would add something for somebody else to chase and use. But until something like this happens, I'm going to just be sitting and waiting for season of the drifter, which might repeat the same issue and drive the game lower in both player count as well as general entertainent.
