So this is a serious post about lore that both isn’t fanfiction and is about the forums. Essentially, the forums exist inside the destiny universe, but not as the B.net forums, as the VanNet. If you’ll all please refer to the pulled pork lore card, the guardians in the card are supposedly looking at the VanNet, specifically a post about how the “new crucible rules are garbage,” a post which had an estimated 300 comments. Sound familiar? It should, back from when the D2 beta was out and from the time D2 launched to about when forsaken came out those posts where commonplace in the forums and often did have a large number of comments. You don’t have to believe me but I just wanted to get this out.

Wait, so does that make me the actual Hunter Vanguard? I mean, I am currently the only living one in the entirety of Destiny...
-
So who is Cozmo and Deej?
anybody else imagining Shaxx on the Crucible forums...
That would make sense, there would have to be a lot of changes such as not having gaming and offtopic and all of the bad fanfics, but yeah I could see how this forum could actually be canon.

Its more than likely that VanNet is the game version of B.Net. It would not be the first time Bungies writers have referenced community behaviors in grimoire cards and lore tabs. Dancing in the tower, zooming past cabal on sparrows, playing with balls etc. That is more than likely a direct reference to the BNET forums and the salty posts in #crucible

Hahah cool find meng

It's a reference. Like the Jade Rabbit lore tab.

That’s cool and an interesting thought (it also provides a justifiable reason why fanfic and role play is good on the forums because it is lore the lore of your character)
