(UPVOTE) RNG Negatively Affects Seal Completion
Ninjapups has valid points on a recent video. Seals and titles should reflect skill and time investment. Badges which require luck through RNG for weapons and gear are part of requirements for seals that are preventing many players from achieving them. No clear path to obtain items required for badges. There needs to be a fix for this asap. Players with insane play time have completed the tougher parts of a seal such as shattered throne, corrupted eggs and ahamkara bones but cant get the dreaming city ship to drop so a seal cannot be earned. Alot of potential here with a great idea and poor execution.

28 RepliesThanks for the suggestion. I have already sent feedback to the team regarding players who are frustrated they are relying on RNG luck to complete some of the more difficult accomplishments like earning Seals and Titles.

The only way to get Braytech weapons needed for the Destinations Warmind Badge is to get a schematic RNG dropped from sleeper nodes. Oh but wait, you need 4 Resinate Stems to open one node. Oh but wait, you need the do a lost sector to get a SINGLE stem. All that to turn in your schematic and it could be a drop of a weapon you already have.... Simple fix is to increase the drop of schematics. OR put the guns that you already have out of the loot pool.

Things are rare for a reason, and that’s to give value. I got my seal through doing gambit over and over and over and over, knowing that not many people will have what I had afterwards. Take away RNG from an rng based game and suddenly no one has anything the other player doesn’t already have. “I don’t have this” should not equate to “this should be fixed” all the time.

1 ReplyI'm a ship away from cursebreaker, but will have to wait another 3 weeks for the shattered throne to come again to try for the chance. I don't mind grinding for something, but give a person a chance to keep trying for it.

2 RepliesI need the drops from the meatball primeval for Dredgen. I played 15 games between last night and Tuesday and did not see a SINGLE meatball. On top of that, they have made the drops themselves rng. I am so -blam!-ing sick of this company.

2 RepliesYep i am waiting on RNG for 3 Seals to be completed (stupid Ships and Ghost Shells and Sparrow......) and a Braytech Rocket Launch ...... ohhh wait their RNG for NightFalls are also broken just like Edge almost same NFs keeps coming Week after Week . Also waiting on getting a Titan Gambit Arm Armor (already reset the ranks twice) COME ON guys who in the hell is testing your final product there are toooooo many broken parts even after so much improvement......I almost forgot still waiting on My Exotic Sparrow Harbingers ECHO after painfully collecting all the eggs Butttttttt Bungie FORGOT to mentions Guys do it on ONLY one Character where the F..... does the Triumph Say this

This is definitely needed. I've been helping a friend with Spider wanted bounties for a few nights now. She's trying to get the Right Side of Wrong or Wrong Side of Right (whichever the scout rifle is) and she's been doing every spider bounty every night for 3 weeks. Still can't get it to drop. Her other friend and I have been helping her with the bounties. He's had 8 while helping her every night. I've had 3 in 1 night. RNG is so screwed with this game. The scout rifle is all she needs for the Forsaken badge completion.

I agree. Its bull with the RNG on old crap gear that we have had before but still have to go get again. I just gave up when I saw that I would have to regrind just to get old junk and delete it again. Rng for drops and armor is fine but not for lore and triumphs and seals. Those things should strictly be for achievements and skills and time invested. Like the 500 ether hunt points on the tangle shore.

6 RepliesI would say that if you have completed Malfeasance and obtained the Gambit seal you are at the very least somewhat skilled. Especially considering how much Gambit and Destiny you've played to get the thing. Rng is only a small factor in all of the seals and again I would argue his point and state that if youve completed any of the seals you are at least somewhat skilled in the area youve completed.

I think implementing what they're doing for Exotics but for overall collections would be a good solution. Look at the collection you already have and roll the RNG. Yes allow duplicates, but weigh the results more towards something new a little higher than what you already have. This could produce a good solution for that lull of getting same items over and over.

Why not add Dreaming City cosmetics to the blind well loot pool? At least they’d be grindable that way. The drop rates are absolutely disgusting for literally all ships, ghosts and sparrows in forsaken they definatley need a drop rate buff across the board.
