Please turn off level advantages. It is awful to play Iron Banner. The level advantages are too impactful. It is ridiculous. PLEASE I am begging you to just disable level advantages. Leave it on for Gambit that's fine. But in 6's, it is infuriating to never be able to do well because of power level.

I’m sorry man, I agree with you, but I don’t think this “tryhard” community does. If you ever hit max light and get to pub stomp a few times you may understand why they do it, you may not. Good luck out there.
-
A lot of high levels aren't good to be honest. Their power level doesnt make them sharp shooters. If anything it gives them a false sense of security.
-
Then dont play a endgame game mode. Go play quickplay

Edited by AUTOMATIK 2006: 10/20/2018 2:59:01 PMThe whole ORIGINAL point of Iron Banner and Trials was to have level advantages. If you remove that, then it's just regular crucible/competitive. So no, we should leave level advantages alone. If you don't want level advantages then just play regular crucible or competitive :)

Edited by Raevenent: 10/20/2018 11:13:17 AMThen don't play it and get higher. Don't see what the problem is. An average player right now should be around 575-580+, and that's WITHOUT running raid, and before they changed it so every bounty from IB gave powerful gear.
-
People who whine ruin this game.
-
I saw a five stack lose to a team of solo players yesterday. Sometimes people just blow leads by getting reckless.
-
One of the best things about IB is the level advantage. So if you want to stop being shreked, get to a higher power. That is how IB always worked in D1, and that's how it will work here.
-
Power advantages Cons: lower light get wrecked Pros: you get powerful gear that boosts your light. When D1 had light level advantages they gave out bounties to get the gear. But they also gave out gear just for playing. And they were higher light than your current level. Yes getting wrecked sucks. But if you still get rewarded at the end of the match regardless if you lose then you're not leaving empty handed. You got an ass kicking yet you got better gear to boost your light level. And eventually you'll be the one kicking ass.
-
That's the point of Iron Banner. If there's no level advantages, then why not just use the Quickplay list?
-
Iron banner has always ha level advantages enable. Only at the start of D2 did this change. It's fine.
-
Edited by piratepatchy243: 10/19/2018 11:14:19 PMIt's fine and its endgame PvP now, like it should've been to begin with.
-
Its been 6 weeks, if you’re not 585 yet you obviously don’t care about the game. Shut up.
-
Then don’t play IB, it’s always been like that and it should stay that way, you don’t get to participate in competing activities with top tier rewards if you aren’t a top tier player, plenty of alternatives.
-
It was enabled in D1 and so should it be in D2 like it is.
-
People were fine with it in D1. Stop crying, do your powerful engrams, and git gud. Quit resorting to crying when you’re bad, it’s why D2 vanilla was so awful.
-
Did you know about the power advantages months ago? Did you play the last IB with the power advantages enabled? Maybe you need to invest more in the game rather than simply whining because you suck and can't earn the rewards because your lack of skill and commitment.
-
No they don’t. It’s one of the only game modes that rewards you for putting the effort in to get your character level up. Get to grinding buddy
-
But...that's...the...point....of... iron....banner
-
You do realise 100 Light level is 10% damage difference (pdef and att) So unless you did not buy the expansion how big can the difference be??
-
My friend played last iron banner at 510-515 power. If he shot a guy and didn't feel like he could kill him he ran to me or our teammates for back up. Think when you play and pick your fights. Stop crying cause things are hard. It's and ENDGAME activity, for skilled and/or high power level players.

IB has always been based on power levels.
-
Power Matters that is what Iron Banner has been since 4 years ago in Destiny 1 and it should be that now in Destiny 2. It is End Game content. You need to be within 10 PowerLevel to best damage, if more then that it drops off as per the Power Curve posted by DevTeam.
-
Power level advantage is an iron banner tradition for three years in Destiny 1 and now forsaken.
-
Last time I read the Lore, The Iron Banner is meant to be unfair.
