Warlock jumping

Dear Bungie; Are you all a bunch of dumbasses that thinks it is funny to have a character that can't -blam!-ing jump. The missions that require you to jump are damn near impossible to pass because of this. So here is a helpful hint. FIX YOUR -blam!-ING WARLOCK CHARACTER SO THAT IT CAN JUMP.

  • No, you just suck at using it, but you're on PlayStation so I can see why. You are too used to using the other jumps and probably died multiple times trying to imitate your other guardians. It doesn't work the same. Once you get it down, going back to your other classes should be hard, or easy if you really mastered it.

  • You double tapping for that initial boost when you trying to reach something? Otherwise you'll just glide in the direction you're running...

  • Hmm I think your Warlock may be broken, mine jumps fine then gracefully glides if I will it. My only gripe is how much of a target I become during the slow graceful glide

  • First off, Warlocks don't jump, we "floof". Second, you need to learn to properly use and control your floof my dude. I have the most ease getting through jumping puzzles when playing as my Warlock. Heck, I even like to make up my own little jumping puzzles when I'm tooling around on patrols. Actually, may I suggest you practice your floofing by doing just that?

  • smh... The best jumps r on the warlock. Get ur head out of ur ass and try using to learn how to press x twice to activate the boost.

  • Warlocks have one of the best jumps if you’re not stupid about it. I know this term kinda gets thrown around a lot, and isn’t taken seriously. But git gud is honestly the only advice I can give you.

  • Da heck? Warlocks have the best jump for puzzles, Titans only beat them if they wear the Lion Ramparts

  • I have to agree, mained hunter D1, warlock D2, it's horrific, and the crazy bounce off every surface in the game make me mad.

  • I actually think the warlock has the best jump for pve, while hunter has the best for pvp

    • I think Warlocks actually have the best jump for platforming. Glide gives you perfect in-air control (as opposed to the other jumps in the game). You just have to practice with it and learn the timing for activation and cancelling. Remember you can activate glide up to 3 times in one jump. Time it right and you can glide on specific angles or even horizontally. Also make sure you're using the directional-control version, not the burst-glide, if you're doing intense platforming like in The Whisper. With burst you will never turn corners in mid-air but with directional-control you can.

    • Warlock jumps good my problem however is landing smooth on a long jump. I usually have no thrust left to land smooth so I just bounce right off and misadventure 😂

      • Warlock jump is by far the best jump. I’m a biased warlock but I’ve never had an issue with it.

      • Compared with lift and double jump, it’s used quite differently. You have to activate immediately after jumping (double tap the jump button) in order to actually gain height. The slow descent is also very useful for jumping puzzles with medium mobility and strafe/balanced glide. There’s really nothing wrong with it.

      • Its the most precise jump for jumping puzzles. Crank up your mobility and use a lightweight weapon if you have issues.

        • No. You just don't know how to use it. Use Strafe Glide with 5 or more Mobility. It gives you more distance, speed, and control than the other Glide jumps.

          • Jump and then pull back on the glide right before you get to the platform, you get better control that way. That seems to help for me at least.

          • Just because I can't control my Hunter or Titan enough to be able to get through jumping puzzles does NOT mean something is wrong with their ability. The difference between you and I is that I know I suck at my lack of ability with jump control on a different class than what I'm used to using. You apparently have yet to understand that its a 'you' problem and not a game problem.

Try strafe jump instead of burst. It’s more forgiving

            • Warlock jump is the best of the 3 if you use it properly. Personally I think the hunter jump is awful but I’m well aware that it’s just that I haven’t practiced enough with it

            • The Warlock jump is actually very good for jumping puzzles. You’re obviously not doing it correctly.

            • Warlock main for as long as I care to remember. The jump is absolutely fine, once you master it. No need for a buff.

            • I'm a Warlock main and I find it much easier to jump the jump puzzles than with my Hunter or Titan. I will confess that the Titan cheats a little with the catapult lift! I still find Warlock easiest.

            • Mad 'cause bad. The jump is literally Blink minus the teleport, but goes higher and farther. Buff your skill and nerf your saltposting. 👋
