How do you wake up in the cosmodrome as an Awoken...? According to the timeline that would be essentially impossible due to how the awoken were born and possibly not even in the same universe when you did die according to the ghost.
-
That would be incorrect. After being born in the distributary (a double ringed planet inside a singularity), mara led part of the awoken back to sol to settle in the reef, once there a faction of about 1/3 of the mortal awoken leave against maras will to help humanity under the traveler. All of this happened well before our guardian was revived.

Edited by G0lden Hunt3r: 10/20/2018 6:29:00 PMWell it was explained in the normal version of D1 before they changed the story. The exo story is the only one used now...wich we played. The awoken story would have started with you crashing in that first ship we scanned in mission 2. That crashed ship. But only the exo story was used...😂
-
Maybe you died there recently? Like 5 years prior to Ghost reviving you
-
It’s been stated in here already but our awoken guardian is most likely a descendent or one of the first awoken who came back to earth to help.

Edited by BenjiZ27AxS: 10/16/2018 5:28:44 PMLot of good comments cleared up your question but keep this in mind. The traveler battled the darkness, presumably while still in orbit since otherwise, it should have crashed on earth, unless it did in the edz. Either way the battle was close enough to have effects on earth if we believe the (non reef born )awoken where created on earth. The distibutory the reef born awoken are from exists in a dimension where time moves faster then ours so a reef born awoken found by our ghost could have crashed attempting to land on earth or during any battle after the collapse. Remember the wall has stood for a long time and was built some time after the colapse and the rissen, whom came after the incident with mara and the singularity. It isnt known how long we where dead though admittedly quite a long time. Lastly, while destiny's lore is often criticised for its often large room for interpretation, it does at least leave room for a wide possibilities to our origin. Edit: One more thing. It is never stated that what created the awoken could only effect human dna during life. You could have died human and been rezed as an awoken, and with no memory to confuse you, youd never know

Primey, Kell of Kaboom
We are so back! - old
How would that explain Zavala though? -
Well ... your exact time of death is unknown ... just because our ghost had been searching for us a long time doesn’t mean it really was a long time ? I mean come on that guys time perception is way off anyway “ this will just take a sec “ five hours later I’m still killing canal waiting for him to open that freaking door .

Edited by Taxathûn, God of the IRS: 10/17/2018 1:32:20 AMMy guess is that there's actually a difference between earth-born and reef-born awoken. Reef-born awoken were transported to the Distributarey (i think that's what it's called) and gained special powers while the earth-born awoken did not. I think when the Darkness and the Light clashed during the Collapse, it sent out waves of paracausal power that transformed some people. The closer people were to the source of the wave the deeper they were effected.
of course this is just a wild guess. I don't really have any evidence supporting or denying my theory
Fell from the exodus ship as it crossed the line of dark and light, back to earth and died.
How do you wake up in the cosmodrome as an Awoken...? According to the timeline that would be essentially impossible due to how the awoken were born and possibly not even in the same universe when you did die according to the ghost.
Some awoken were aloud to return to earth. It was ages before our guardian awoke which has only been about 4 years ago now.
-
I had assumed if we were awoken reefborn, we were in a ship on a scouting run and didn’t go so well. We ended up in the cosmodrome, and died amongst the cars. Or if you’re an Exo, you were deployed there to stop the darkness, or you were a exo civilian trying to survive
-
The awoken's home universe experiences time much faster than our own. While thousands of years had passed for them, only centuries had passed for us. Not only that, some Awoken wanted to go back to earth...
-
You racist.
-
The answer is simple... Every end crawls from the same pit, rising from the schism to swallow matter, Light and life. It cannot be stopped, but here, it can be slowed. The Shrines of Oryx must be destroyed.
-
Dude, the Awoken didn't just arrive last year
-
No time to explain...
-
Reef born and Earth born awoken. It makes the difference several times throughout the lore.
-
When does the ghost say we died exactly?
-
When the awoken came here before the time of the last city, some left the queen and went all over the system. They died and then boom, guardians
-
The awoken came back way before our guardian was rezzed. After the awoken came back to our universe/dimension/whatever, some felt obligated to go back and help the people of the city. The awoken that are guardians now are these awoken who had died previously and were brought back by ghosts
-
I mean look at Zavala.
-
Its explained in "The Awoken of the Reef" lore. Revanche IV and V.
-
If I'm correct all characters and races share the original Exo origins.
-
Humans fled Earth, reached the edge of the system, noticed they were turning blue, and some of them said "-blam!- that, I'm going back to Earth" There, lore solved
-
Should have been an exo. Dinklebot just came along and gave me a jump with his dinkle cables and i was all good.
-
I just ate a whole wheel of cheese.
