Auto Rifles in PVE feel rather weak, unless you get some good rolls on a Tigerspite, Misfit, Ether Doctor or Rampage on a Y1 weapon. Alongside their generally low damage there’s rarely times i’d want to use one over SMG’s, Hand cannons or even Pulse Rifles, up close they’re dominated by SMG’s and Shotguns, Medium Range by Hand cannons and Medium-Long Range by Pulse Rifles, you might as well be using a squirt gun in any case. They don’t act as a “jack of all trades” weapon class and their Ad-slaying/clearing potential is squandered by all weapons I just mentioned.. especially Hand cannons.
