freeze then crash to desktop

I have been attempting to fix the issue of a regular game freeze then crash to desktop issue for quite some time. Drivers up to date, latest version of windows, yada yada. I have tried to delete the CVARS.xml, but that exact file does not seem to exist. When I go to the prefs file folder, I see 2 files, one called exactly "cvars.old" (type: OLD file) and the other "cvars" (type: XML document). Is this as intended? I am attempting to fix a regular freeze then crash issue, and and occasional error code broccoli issue. this crash occurs in all content, crucible, strikes, patrol etc. thanks.

Do you know why they dont reply to your thread?!? Cause I have the same issue since Warmind came out and they didnt do anything they know their game is broken and they cannot offer a solution because of that. I already made like 10 threads about this and they stopped responding. My system is 100% stable. All drivers updated windows updated. Tried every possible fix and nope... Check your event viewer and you will see that there is an error saying Destiny 2 exe stopped working. How is this a hardware issue?!?
