Cluster Strat isn’t a “Cheese”

It’s maxing out DPS and using classes to their max potential. If you consider that a cheese, please never play another MMO of any sort because everyone will hate you and I don’t want you to have to deal with that. Literally the entire point of games like this are to min max your character and use them to their fullest potential. Now if you had to glitch something to get it to work, I’d say it’s definitely a cheese. But you don’t have to glitch anything. Just pump out enough DPS with the correct load out. Edit: as per request I’m clearing something up. I don’t think destiny is a full blown mmo but it is an mmo lite. Edit 2: to be clear, I consider a cheese anything that glitches the game in some way. For example, pushing atheon of the ledge is a cheese because you skip damage to him. Riven isn’t a cheese because you still have to do the damage to her. That’s just my opinion obviously

  • Yes it is. Don't argue semantics I've done it too. Since D1 of it skips the mechanics it's as cheesy as it comes. It's not as bad as despawning -blam!-in adds but it's cheesy. It is maximizing damage potential as you say but it's also cheese. If it's something they clearly didn't intend or completely foresee its cheese. If they spent all that time making all these other important mechanics that need to be followed and you don't have to do any... it's cheese. I could understand if you still had to do symbol call outs and weak spot hits and then did a one phase that wouldn't be cheese but this skips all that. As a community we're almost as bad as the Pokémon community that adamantly defends and who cheats to level Pokémon and get perfect IVs. Their argument is that "it's about the strategy and choice of Pokémon not training them" but it's also against their rules and not intended. We as a community shame people who want to do things legit and pretend "it's a strategy". I know the comparison is different but we still defend cheesing too much.
