No you are not alone. The game feels like work. Ironically the last thing I want to do after a 10-12 hour day is relax by playing Destiny 2, which now feels like a second -blam!-ing job. The grind is excessive and not meant for any but the top 1-2% of players. Good job Bungie, you -blam!-ing morons. Way to kill your IP. How about you actually value the time we play in your game. I predict that this place will be quieter than a tomb when all the other games come out between now and Christmas. The “middle” ground of “casual hardcore” players, like myself, who are tired of the bullshit over 4 years and the lack of Bungie actually listening to the majority of their fan base, will have abandoned this unrewarding, brilliant but horribly flawed game. I was angry that I couldn’t be raid ready the first week it was out, due to the excessive grind and time commitment needed. I know that even as good as my raid team is we were never going to compete for worlds first. The knowledge of the fact the I couldn’t even take part due to the ridiculous grind [b][u]and[/u][/b] short time span just killed my interest in the game. It has barely recovered to a “meh”. Now I am playing this broken mess once a week and it feels, ok? I am in awe of the environments, gunplay and music. As usual top notch. The dreaming city is amazing. However once RDR2 is released on the 26th I am gone. Probably for good, I am not interested in the half-assed fix for MWC’s or Bungie’s ridiculous tinkering with a broken progression system. In catering to the top 1-2% they are going to lose everybody else. The irony is Bungie still think that they released a great DLC. Compared to D2 Vanilla even Superman 64 would have looked like a superior game to start off with. TL;dr. Sorry for the rant, also bored with D2.

Since Forsaken released the game feels like a second job to me. Once that started happening it stopped being as fun and I could care less if I played. I definitely stopped playing on all 3 characters. I do 1 per week now if I even finish all my milestones on that one.

Suddenly....? No.... I got sick of it after like 2 weeks. Came back a couple times but never really played much because I got bored so quick. I can’t bring myself to get forsaken. Just sick of the bs.

i lost interest because i have to equip whatever is higher then what i have, i still play the game to get my light level up but it's not fun. masterwork cores without forsaken are so rare, but even with forsaken i imagine i'd still be doing the same thing... no longer carry around weapons or armor that i like, just throwing on whatever is higher then my equipped...

The grind is beginning to make the game boring for me, especially with the lack of Masterwork Cores. Gambit is especially becoming very dull. The invasion kills really ruin the experience. I will probably stop playing Gambit in the near future. Quickplay is an absolute mess. Crucible is another activity on my list of activities that I expect to stop playing.

for me the realization that 50% of the game is unreachable for the casual gamer...seeds of light rng, and mc's rare by the day...this is a game that requires constant hours grinding or playing with your team for all activities to increase the chance of rng...good game but I am resigning to the fate of time to look for a game more my style (RDR2) which does not require PVP.

Nope Im enjoying the game. Since Im a pleb and can only play on the weekends since thats the only time I have time to play this game. The wait is all worth it for me.

No reason to play The content is there but there are no rewards Thanks to streamers and you tubers there is no grind, exotics and catalyst are non existent the grind is pointless because you know you are not going to get anything

1 600 character and 2 597 and im bored already not a single new exotic and bunch of edge transits raid is alright but not as fun as wrath of the machine and when u look at random rolls its like they were too lazy to even work on it they copied all perks and paste to everything. Lost interest even to log in

I stopped playing once I realized they make you farm materials to infuse weapons. Fruck this game, red dead is coming.

I hit the wall yesterday. Completed almost every activity every week since Forsaken launched but upon loading the game yesterday to finish the Crucible milestone for "powerful gear" I sighed and thought to myself what's the point? The gear I get at the end of 5 matches *might* be +1 level more than gear I have? Ugh. And on top of that I can’t infuse the gear due to the MW core economy. Don't get me wrong. I'm not hating on the game. Overall I've enjoyed Forsaken but the intense grind has worn me down. Bungie listened too much to the hardcore players and streamers and swung the grind-fest pendulum a little too far this time. I'll still play the game and will check in for FoTL next week, and possibly IB if the weapons are cool. But generally I'm gonna dip in and out of Destiny and try some other games. It's healthier that way. Currently playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and having a rip-roaring time. It's like a breath of fresh air. RDR2 too soon. Can't wait for that.

I was saying this 3 weeks ago. It all seemed great at first but by week 3 I saw the writing on the wall. Right back to playing 1-2 days a week and you’re done till Tuesday

I was happily playing the game before forsaken tbh. People are saying how good forsaken is... but it really made me lose interest tbh. It changed destiny, but it didnt seem like it was for the best. I think the dreaming city was the biggest mistake. Ive played destiny since it first ever came out, since alpha, and I found forsaken the worst expansion ever since. I feel like they could have made it a lot better. For instance, if Uldren was suffering from an illness other than the possession of riven. They could have made Uldren a good guy, or given us a choice to spare him or not. The dreaming city is good, but I lost motivation to play it because it doesnt seem like Destiny. It doesnt seem good. It’s like bungie listened to the players, but none of the original players. Its like they listened to newer players that only came back for cayde’s death or havent been playing that long. But it’s just an opinion, no attacking please >~<
