Looking forward to this Haunted Forest. Glad Bungie is using the Infinite Forest to generate more content, even if it is for only three weeks. If it is a success, maybe we could have a Wintry Forest to go along with the Dawning as well? Maybe? Regardless, I am loving the new Bungie and the directions being taken with D2. Cheers!
EDIT: I know this won't happen, but I hope the Scorn are flailing flaming Jack-o-Lanterns, the Fallen are wearing gauze that is slightly unraveled, the Taken are painted like clowns, the Hive are wearing witch hats and their swords are replaced with brooms, and the Vex have fangs and Dracula capes.
For Wintry Forest, we could throw snowballs at Fallen with elf hats, Hive with white beards, Vex adorned with multi-colored string lights, Taken with red noses, and Scorn with a bundle of sticks and a sack for hauling away naughty Guardians.

They need to use the Forrest to bring back the old raids...
-
Don't thank until you play.
-
Yes, thank you for something we have not seen or experienced yet and don't know if it will suck or not. Stop this stupid shit.
-
About time they do something with the Forest, even just for an event. The Forest has massive potential, yet it just serves as a strike transition zone. The dark future is one my favorite settings - that mission where Panoptes shows up and you have to retreat? Wish there was more of that. Yet we only have an adventure there. One strike in the dark future where you face off against a stronger Panoptes (since it's a simulation in a setting where Panoptes wasn't destroyed) would've been awesome. Sorry for drifting off. To this day I can't believe the unused potential of the Infinite Forest. Haunted Forest is a start but we need more.

Why wasn't the forest part of the pve content to begin with?
-
God, I really, really want to believe in Festival of the Lost. Hopefully it all doesn't because irrelevant a week after it's done, like Solstice of Heroes.
-
Thanks giving forest, Winter forest, new year forest, the egg forest, Tess's sisters baby shower forest, Zavalas in growing toenail removal forest. Come on Bungie there are infinite reskin possibilities here, throw in some reskined weapons and some old shit from D1 and bam! Bungie fans get all wet.
-
U say thank u yet u have not even played it
-
I hope it is fun, but if it is built off the infinite forest model then I am afraid it will involve a lot of “killed by the architects” as I fall off of every available ledge.
-
Going to be fun!
-
It sounds awesome!
-
Bro, you need to simmer down with the excitement. Nobody’s played it yet so before you start praising bungie, let’s see if it’s good. There kind of known for there BS content so you need to wait
-
Would be cool if they had a heroic version where it was pure survival. Going on as long as you can until you all die. The records some people would get would be awesome
-
Will there be spooky scary skeletons?
-
do you know what light you will have to be to participate in the haunted forest?
-
Bungo introducing a pve activity where you can actually 'choose' to play it solo, with friends or match make with randoms... mind officially blown 💥
-
I'm just surprised it'll have matchmaking.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 10/11/2018 2:48:14 AMToo bad they can't create content and leave it in the game. Never really liked times events except for IB. Well, D1 IB that is because once they are over with there isn't really anything to do but the repetitive grind. Especially when a lot of the previous content isn't updated. It would be nice if they had a team to keep things fresh or, bring back things like the weekly rotation when it comes to the vendors. Hmm, I don't recall D1 lacking so much that they had to hold out as long as they have with Xur or ever shut the factions down.

Remember what happens when we thank bungie for -not really new- stuff. It usually ends up being bad. So i dont know , thankyou for a post bungie made? Lets see what happens in practice...
-
Thanks for lumping 4 abilities together for us and not letting us build our guardians,it was so hard to do it on my own in D1.
-
I’m not looking forward to anything mercury related
-
Just let us ride sparrows on Mercury
-
We haven't even played it yet lol...but yes, I'm happy this will be more than microtransaction month...hopefully this will be fun but again, you should hold your thanks until we actually see it...be hyped all you want but I'm going to wait and see (forsaken has been great, I also love the new direction but, you know, I don't wanna jump the gun here)

You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game.
-
Finally. Some use of the Infinite Forest, besides seeing Vex tango with Hive for the first time ever.

Edited by Calledkestrel62: 10/11/2018 3:38:01 PMI can definitely see how Destiny affects our creative vision, hahaha! Yes, Bungie should have treated the Infinite Forest as an asset within the game with a lot of potential for various activities. FotL shouldn`t be the only kind of event to give the Infinite Forest this much needed utility, and I also believe that this is a 3-week version of what should be a permanent game mode in the future. Seeing how the Infinite Forest works, the way in which it allows for time manipulation of time and timelines, so much can be done with it. Much to start listing out. I definitely like your idea of involving the enemy units into season character, makes the game way more interesting. And definitely YES for snowball damage. Even if the Infinite Forest is within a... desert. It`s time for Bungie to recognise more potential within elements in the game world and implement new activities that test Guardians like something that should have been introduced in 2014. Much like Gambit. Great post!
